I dont see it. Hazleton would add some mongrel to our pack.I think we have a formidable front row rotation.

He'd be a decent signing. I'm only saying he won't be needed so much next year though he'd be a very handy signing this year.I dont see it. Hazleton would add some mongrel to our pack.
Knowing Flanno he will give Loko Jr mere FG scraps this year, same as he gave the emerging Couchies.Toby is not a prop, Sele injury prone, Blocka past his best.True we needed Hazleton more this year, but will take him next. May be a good mentor to our best young kids too as hearing L Jr and Latu speak they are passionate but still in nappies and could use some molly coddling. Jack has already been doing some of this.
Ditto. Like all perfectionists. Same situation presently with Steve Smith our Test cricketer. A legend but media keep badgering him about his retirement. He says "I will know the time". Meanwhile he goes out and scores four 100s in his last six Tests. The legend is having a second coming at 35 yrs. Fair to say he has silenced those badgering scribes.I hope so but it will depend on his form. At his age there is the possibility his form will drop off a cliff. I don't believe it will but there is the possibility. I think he's the kind who will call it himself if he feels his form is no longer good enough.
Stats wise he was one of the better ones, 23 games averaged 40min and 94m, including 2 short stints off the bench, was also over 100m in 10 of those games. He definitely wouldn't have been our best but I think he's using that to emphasise his argument on how ridiculous it is he can just put his foot down and say I'm done with no resolution. Not going to comment on the mental health component cause it's a horrible thing to deal with but I think the issue is there's no resolution for either the team or player as the season starts, everyone's in limbo.“We have our No. 1 front rower, who played 23 games last year, just walking out as the season starts''.
You for real Flanno. Never been #1, unless talking about as a dud. 23 games. Pretty sure he never broke the 100m in even one game. Flanno says the Molo incident "is a mess". Sorry coach but it is one created by you, as you extended him.
Are those stats really okay? I honestly don't know but I think the best props average closer to 200m a game. And Frank only had one job. Run hard, make metres. I know no one ever said he was one of the best props but I think he was on money which should have seen him perform much better than he did.Stats wise he was one of the better ones, 23 games averaged 40min and 94m, including 2 short stints off the bench, was also over 100m in 10 of those games. I debate that. I used Fox League and tallied his stats every week. A guy his size should be bending the line and racking up 140/150 per game. For a big unit his defense was also under par. Falls off so many tackles. Simply, he is not worth what we are/were paying him and we were nuts to extend him..was also over 100m in 10 of those games.
For us, unfortunately, we didn't have many much better, and im definitely not saying hes good just that we have been lacking in that position. Personally I think cut him loose we have better options but like I said I thinks Flannos main gripe is that there's no resolution, we can't use the money elsewhere and in his words 'it's a legal minefield'.Are those stats really okay? But I think it might be right about him suffering mental health problems. Doubt he's in demand anywhere else for the kind of money the Dragons were or are paying him.
I mean the stats are listed right there, they dont dissapear. You can check yourself anytime I can even tell you what rounds lol.I debate that. I used Fox League and tallied his stats every week. For this year and one more on a modest salary, he'd be ok, wouldn't he? I'm not in favour personally. I think at least from the second half of the season if not round 1, Flanno should start picking LPT. Prop rotation of Couchmans, Gular, LPT with Blocka and Sele backup. But if Klemmar was signed, I think it would be ok. Such a fall from grace that Tigers move him on early might fire him up to get back closer to what he was a few years ago.Signing Klemmer would be the most Hook signing of all time. Massive no from me and Flanno wants it Haran should veto the move
Klemmer is 'they think' free to take other offers immediately.. couldnt be a more perfect fit I feel for Franks spot.. just turned 31, maybe a 2yr contract.. problem is supposedly the Storm are also after him to replace Welch..
I read somewhere recently, I think yesterday Dragons are now looking unlikely for him.No point getting Klemmer if we get Hazelton.
Even if we got Hazleton, Sharks are doing us no favours.. it will be 2026.. this is a 2025 problem to replace Frank, its just a question of who can we get over the line in the next few weeks.. not sure if a swap would be involved.. usually its not a direct swap..
I hear ya, I think Flanno would ideally want just a 12mth contract to keep them hungry.. and his roster fluid... but.. running out of time if he wants to get a middle over the line.. and a 1yr deal might not do it... we arent alone in looking for middles, Storm and Raiders would be 2 more with a spot freed up in recent weeks.. Warriors supposedly given Hazleton went over there.Yep but klemmer would be on the books for 2026 too. I don't want him using up 26 cap space if we get hazelton. Either way it's all wishful thinking until Dragons actually move Molo.
