Thats a great signing for us to replace Lomax ....... Equal or better , I say better ...... The only thing Lomax is younger and having a break out year , time will tell if his form continues where Holmes has been good for a long time ..........Sorry. Misunderstood. Makes the loss of Lomax a non-event. Actually, I rate Lomax more than Holmes due to his age but as far as the needs of the current squad go, Holmes is probably better.Thats a great signing for us to replace Lomax ....... Another thing people arent really considering yet with this is you'd assume he's playing left centre for us, letting Suli play his more natural right side, which I see as another positional improvement overall.Makes the loss of Lomax a non-event. Depending on how well Cook is going and whether LPT and LKT are ready for first grade next year, I think this is a top 4 squad. Based on how we are fringe top 8 this year with some very obvious weaknesses in the roster.I know hes expensive, but even if Holmes ends up just a goal-kicking winger at some stage... it was rly important we got some wins like Cook & Holmes, add in 1 forward and I think that gives us a respectable squad for next year, anything on top of that is a bonus.
Should help Shane retain and recruit in the future.. its been a very hard sell.
Has Suli been playing on his less favoured side this year? If so, I think he should stay there because he's been better this year than previous years.Another thing people arent really considering yet with this is you'd assume he's playing left centre for us, letting Suli play his more natural right side, which I see as another positional improvement overall.
He's played left since coming to us as Lomax has always been a right side dominate player. As far as I remember Suli always preferred the right before that coming through. Whether that's still his preference or not I'm not sure, it's been a few years, but certainly gives us more flexibility anyway. Our left side has been a lot stronger in general, particularly when Ben doesn't ball hog as much. Withought checking 2022 was probably his best year stat wise but it'd be close this year as well.Has Suli been playing on his less favoured side this year? Yep remember hook tried to get Suli back on his preffered right but Lomax just couldnt adapt to the left.. particularly defensively.. so Suli took one for the team.. but next year itll be Suli+Su'a+SFinau perhaps on the right.
Does Flanno seriously want both of them?Val incoming, Saifiti and Horsburgh very much in the picture, shuffling around rosters seems to be the hold ups.
Apart from Kyle. If he is in the NRL team, we are average at best. That is a fact. Remember anyone who doubts me.Flanno has finally got some spine depth for next year
1. Holmes/Sloan
6. Kyle/LKT
7. Hunt/?
9. Cook/Liddle
Imo getting a halfback should be Flanno's next priority or at least equal to forwards. Sexton/Metcalf/Pezet
He aint any side specialist.Bird
Cowboys in the hunt somehow.. I wish they were in the Hunt somehow for our Hunt .......I believe the money is a sticking point for RCG.. Cowboys in the hunt somehow..
