Not saying you are wrong, but just that I doubt it's true. He's been very average, in and out of the Dragons very average pack for a while.

Hes only been with us 2 seasons. 2023 he was playing way to many minutes but Dave is right and I said it earlier on, we looked a better team with BMM on the bench then we did with RFM/Lawrie. Short impactful punch straight up the guts before half time.
Some stats 2023 he averaged 56min and 64m a game with just over 2 missed tackles a game (bugger all errors, has good hands). This year under Flanno he only averaged 22min off the bench but still 67m a game and only 5 missed tackles total. For comparison JDB was 97m in 55min, Luci 92m in 66min, Blocker and Molo 82m in 40min, so he was absolutely the most impactful off the bench in his short stints.
I don't think he will see him in 1st this year but I'm super happy for him that his career didn't end with that injury and he will be awesome sticking around with the young guys, he is a very highly respected player.

Agree that's why a Cook Liddle rotation will give them both new legs better impact if that's the way the coach plays it .........

That rotation, injury free, just may help us increase our points for column next season and be one of the reasons we finally return to semi finals football
I really hope we don't see lawrie, rfm, eisenhuth play more than 5 games combined. All 3 of them are nsw cup standard now.
The issue with our pack is we've got no starting frf. Sele/jdb are more effective as locks. F. Molo as a bench fwd. Even t. Couchmen would be better as a lock imo.
We're lacking depth in a position where there's a lack of depth in the nrl which is halfback and prop.
Imo flanno has undervalued the price needed to pay for a quality prop.

Too many locks, not enough props. JDB will go fine at prop. He spent most of last season there. Couchmans probably as well. But it would be good to have one big, aggressive prop starting the game. Someone who is only a prop. Not suitable to play in another position. Hello Pasifiki Tonga though I know he's unlikely at least up until around Origin time.

Agree 100% we lack size and go forward in the bookends and until we have that no matter what genius play maker we come up with we just won't be a competitive top 8 team in 2025

I think RFM is definitely in his last year (if that), Lawrie wouldnt be here in 12mths.. the rest is TBD.. missing RCG was a really suck moment.. im sure we will pick up someone, but were gonna need the couchies to really step up..... the one im worried about is Sele, we cant really afford to be down 1 of our best props, potentially all season...

I have a feeling we'll get Lodge. I'm starting to warm up to him. He's only 29 and wasn't moved on by Manly, according to Lodge anyway, it's just he wants more than the 150k for 2 years they can offer him. Which makes sense when they have 3, million $ players on the books and are still paying Josh Schuster a lot for the next year and the year after. They really have salary cap issues.
Yea agree, hopefully depth and injury cover that's all. I'm also very sick of seeing every 'journalists' best 17 talking about lawrie as our lock lol. We have all these 13s in the team and he ain't one.

We will find out soon.. most inside whispers are saying hes signed with Souths.. but maybe he was 'talking to souths' and now that May has gone... maybe we made Lodge a better offer.. dunno... all speculation.. gonna have to wait and see what shakes out..

Srsly the media is clueless.. they should have a mandated 2hrs per week on each clubs forum (2x17=34hrs a week) to get the pulse on what the hells going on inside club land.
How good would that be haha. Yea its nuts how bad it gets when they are clearly just making up complete rubbish (ie nrl 360) then writing articles based on there own opinions from the night before. And yet so many people take the bait and spread it as gospel, hook line and sinker everytime.
