Interesting, Canberra were linked with him and I think dogs may step away after signing Thompson.

I’ll say it again I think Pahulu will be a star.

Ever since I seen him playing for Ipswich SHS + how he performed for the titans this year you could tell he is going to be some player.

Hopefully management are making moves to bring him in when Eisenhuth/Mick Molo/RFM leave at the end of this season

I think Couchmans and Tonga are going to be stars. Would prefer an old hard-headed prop on a short term deal. That doesn't mean I'm against signing him, just very much in favour of signing Klemmer but don't need another imported prop. I was very impressed by Gulars game in the first half last week when Roosters had most of their best forwards on. Reminded of that other Canberra prop Mary picked out of Canberra reserve grade and turned into an Origin prop.

It is understood the Dragons will allow Molo to leave provided his new club stump up a transfer fee.

They also want Molo to pay back money he had been paid in advance as well as the money he has been paid since the NRL’s contract year kicked off on November 1. It is unlikely that Molo’s camp will agree to giving money back which has been paid for this season given Molo had trained with the squad up until the end of January. Molo also played for Samoa in England at the end of last year which meant his return date to training was pushed back. He is on sick leave which is due to end next month.
Decent negotiating position. Demand money back and a transfer fee but agree to let him move for a transfer fee or money back. As long as Klemmer doesn't sign anywhere else while he is waiting.

Who would pay a transfer fee for him? Why would he give back money when he's already done the training for it? It feels like we're complicating an already complicated matter for very little benefit. It's actually making it harder to move him on.

The goal is to free up a top 30 spot so we can bring in klemmer. This just delays or prevents it from occurring & klemmer isn't going to wait around. Injuries are occurring everywhere in the nrl, matter of time until another team needs a middle who can afford klemmer.

You are right. Demand both now but let him walk away as long as he doesn't get a cent more after his sick leave is over.

Imagine him hiring legal team, wasting money on it then us back peddling lol
Makes me think Frank wants more than to be just let go. He's demanding a full payout. Lawyer gets 25% if successful but Frank only pays to 10k or so if unsuccessful. I find it hard to believe it was just over an offhand comment which hurt poor Franks feelings. Lawyer would have taken the 10k and advised Frank to accept walking away without any more.

I did not know a football player could call in sick ! How much sick leave do they get anyway ? A transfer fee would only apply if Frankie wants to play for another club this year. But that would complicate getting Klemmer. So maybe let him walk. He has not been that great anyway and Klemmer would be a big upgrade. Frankie has hired a high profile lawyer pro bono , so either He thinks he can win a payout or his new agent has lined up a new club and more money. The plot thickens….
