He also jumped ship at the first opportunity which doesn't bode well for long term commitment. He's also recovering from a pretty serious back issue. We're not going to keep them all, I'd say he won't be the only one leaving due to the amount of forwards coming through the system. Hopefully we can develop some quality outside backs too.
Stewarts, Couchman, Egan, Nick T etc. have all looked solid at NRL level in their limited opportunities. We need to develop them into quality rep standard players if we're to play finals in the future. We've lacked the development piece when players enter into the top 30/senior footy level.

It seems he didn't like Flanno much. Or his parents couldn't stand Flanno. The way they poked fun at him long after Latu signed with the Dogs. I keep coming back to the story Danny Weidler ran about the playing group and coach in the SMH halfway through last year.
Weidler hates flanno, wouldn't believe much of what he says.

You think he just made it up? If so, I'll have to disagree. Would be so highly unprofessional, I can't imagine he just made it up. He might have exaggerated. Probably did or Flanno would have been sacked.

There was a bit of talk about possibly getting Hanson, article today puts that to bed, again it is Zero Tackle so take with a grain of salt, BUT...
Yea, he made it up. Just like the burger celebration non story that people believed. He fooled a lot of people. Anything to get clicks, dragons fans are an easy target. I don't blame him, easy little hit piece to get attention.
I think we'll get heaps of these types of articles until mid way through November. Nov 1 recruitment opens up officially for 2027 season, 10 day cooling off period too.
Flanno mentioned on the mad dragons podcast, a possible Klem re-signing might occur in Jan/Feb, depending on how we go with other recruitment targets.
yeah he didn’t. read and chammas backed the story and they are always very careful to not piss flanno off.

You are letting your love for Flanno cloud your judgement.
Was the burger celebration started by Weidler? I thought that was NRL360. Weidler's story seemed very well sourced and corresponding to the facts on the ground. The burger story was a reaction to that story where people suddenly started noticing the obvious favouritism I have been banging on about ever since he was signed.

I don't love flanno but I'm also realistic & not fooled by the media. It's an easy trap to fall into, especially when you've already formulated a pre-determined view.
Btw there were also 'stories' about the broncos playing group not liking Madge's pre-season training but they won the comp & players credited the training for helping with their fitness. Again, plenty of media bs going around, especially with easy targets like Dragons fans. Oh, get ready for more stories because Flanno said he'll train them harder this off-season.
flanno is mates with most of the media. he actually gets a relatively easy ride compared to other coaches.
