Recruitment and Retention for 2026

nah it’s a mutual option IIRC, also, if we sign Paix I’m not a fan.

Mozer or Da Silva id be a fan of, Owen Pattie from Canberra would be an unreal signing but Canberra see him as their future and I’m sure he wouldn’t leave anyway

Shane Richardson has openly said that Da Silva wants to play first grade and if they extend Koroisau another 2 years which looks likely than they wouldn’t stand in his way of leaving

That’s the biggest draw we have over any other club with hooker is opportunity and a free spot
Doesn't mutual option mean we can make him stay another year? Or he can tell the club he wants to stay for another year. Letting him go for Da Silva, Koroisau, or Pattie would work but absolutely not Mozer or Paix.

Flanno has a younger 9 in his sights, one that will be able to play big minutes.
80 min hooker with.......... yes, Kyle Flanagan on the bench as a utility and injury cover for an 80 min hooker wouldn't be the worst thing. But then again, if there are no injuries in the halves or hooker, it'd be a bench spot wasted.

Well it up to Flanno I suppose if he has someone in his sights, but he's had others in his sights before which we never got, anyway he knows best.
Does he Jd or only a matter of him prefering players he recruited even if they dont mount up to the incumbent but because they were on the cheap, unwanted or has beens. Between he and Griffin they are Feagai twins, Macca, F Molo, Kerr, McGuire, BMM, RFM, Eisenhuth, KF, Allan, Cook. That is almost an entire side and combined they have not gotten us to the finals. Any I have missed.

KF, Eisenhuth, RFM were Flanno, not Hook and Flanno re-signed BMM though on a development contract.

Behind the Lokomotive, Jake looks the best prospect we have. Plus he is captain material and when full size he should be ready to partner with his giant mate at the front. Next comes Nick T, Stewart and Daniel Meafou and there is a Jared Johnson in Flegg that impresses me.

Wouldn't surprise me if he becomes best period. Had a barnstormer against much more seasoned professionals or semi pros last week.

We've told a contracted player he is free to look elsewhere. Club trying to free up some good dollars.
I've had a feeling Hame would retire at seasons end to focus on his clothing brand and what not, as well as the amount of injuries he's had in the NRL. I think the club are looking at his injury record, and telling him hes free to move on, but lowkey, doing that to force him out. I think instead of looking elsewhere, he calls time on his playing career and focuses on his business venture and family.

If Sele did retire we would be paying out the money still, but I think hes going to give it 1 more crack, hes finally back playing footy again.. 1 more serious injury though might be the end.

Eisenhuth is the one who must be on the absolute edge, im not sure what the hold up is, unless he also wants 1 more crack.. but honestly seems silly for the sake of a few more games.
