He is too much of a defensive liability. His real strengths lie in his attacking and that hasn't won us many games in the last few seasons. Perhaps keep him but not on the same coin to assist our young up and coming forwards.

My opinion is Fifita off the bench is 1 prop rotation with a contingency plan to allow young Couchman to play some role as a bookend if required . Or if you say Stewart to lock then JDB to prop. Will be interesting to see but there are options.
You as a coach and me as a attacking player all respect to you ...... This for me , I hear it a lot great attacking player but his defence is no good ......... The team as we are is totally defence wise up to shit ....... So at least we need players that can attack and score tries ........ For me yes you need to have defensive players but need attackers that can turn a game ......... Let's see what you think I have 13 attacking players you have 13 defensive players who wins over 80 min ...... ? So it's a tight game as defence is holding so far but they drop a ball on half way the attacking team picks up the ball against the play ........ would you be on the attacking side to score it or the defensive side to stop it ........ ? Just trying to say that it's not all about defence you need to be able to turn a game with attack also ........ Anyway just my take ........
Your partially correct you have to have strike players but from a coaches perspective I always coached and trained my teams with an emphasis on defence. Get that right and your attacking structures will get you over the line if your good enough.
