There were two/three defenders on him every time because he was always given the leather in traffic, yet he still made ample pcms. Opposition defenses knew how dangerous he could be in space. Still he is now water under the bridge. Off to French yawnion evidently.

I’m not going to let it affect me the way it has in previous years RVH. I can see the club is building from bottom up which it really needed to do. I’m not holding out for any marquees etc. they will come but from our juniors....aint a laffing matter Jd, more a crying one.
Is heidke injured still? I haven’t seen him in any preseason photos idk wether that means he’s injuried or jsut not invited to nrl preseason?
The way the junior recruitment is going now, where we have a good selection of real guns signed or coming through in the backs and especially combined with the current tranche of young forwards currently being blooded, I am very optimistic that the dragons of the late 2020s are going to be a special bunch.
He was injured at the end of last season but no idea now.
Hopefully he will be ok (not sure if invited though.. hope so), its been yonks since he was injured late season, it must have been a serious one..... but he was injured the year before also.. that's what set him so far back.. really should be on par with Buchanan in terms of experience.. and have played some first grade already... not the only kid in this situation of course.. injuries are so cruel.
Like you I'm prepared to be patient and back our juniors, every player in fact bar our expected 1/2/ 5/8 that will start the season. For the past 8 yrs we have lacked someone to lead us round the paddock, I am fed up expect you are too so this has to change pronto. We aint gonna land that big fish half so give Atkinson/Flanagan 15 games to form a strong partnership. If they fail, take a punt on Kade Reed as dead set he is the best team orchestrator in our club and probably one of the most promising in the NRL. Forget he is still a kid at 20, he is maturing quickly. Is he training with the NRL squad currently. If so I'd like to see him in one of the Trials to see if he can handle the big time.

As far as I know he is training with them. He also played in trails last year.
