I would like to just throw my 2 cents worth here, I dont believe McPeanut was a good coach either before or after 2018. He had no credentials to be a head coach, he just liked to be comfortable being uncomfortable. And our due diligence on getting Hook was even worse.
I think they lost a couple of middles Chris, so I dont know how keen they would be on letting him go.
Souths will not be on a build until they get rid of Walker and Latrell a bit like us with Hunt ......
Latrell tore us a new one in at least one of the games last year. I can't remember which. I think the one early in the season.
Kaeo Weekes re signed with Canberra last year. He will be on 850K or more in 2028 and 29. Personally I don't rate him, I had him in my supercoach last year, including the game he played against us and scored the try illusion posted. I think Canberrra made a mistake in signing him long term for such big dollars. He had moments of brilliance and other games where he does very very little.
I wouldn't mind having Weekes in our side and I'm hoping like hell we overachieve, its vastly better than being the perennial underachievers.
I was watching Weekes very closely last year, especially while I had him in my Supercoach team. He had a couple of big Supercoach games, including the one against us, but I ran out of trades and couldn't get him out of my team. He ended up being a liability in my Supercoach team. He doesn't have enough touches at fullback. He doesn't take many hit ups, like other good fullbacks do. With space to move or broken play, he is a very dangerous runner
Yes he did but he doesn't play enough games to warrant the big money ......
I believe KK will bring a steadier temperament and stronger leadership than BH, which, to be fair, isn’t the tallest bar to clear.
Just because he doesn’t do well on SuperCoach doesn’t mean he isn’t a good player
Lets not forget George that little weasel was our club captain !! our club captain no less !! to say that an incoming player will show more leadership than BH shows what a disgrace it was to have this imposter as our club captain. The true gentleman of our past who were club captains would surely be rolling in their graves witnessing the dramas Hunt put this club through.
Frank, I think if you asked the majority of the raiders players and coach if they liked having Weekes there, they wouldn't be consulting your Supercoach first for an answer.Just because he doesn’t do well on SuperCoach doesn’t mean he isn’t a good player

Absolutely agree, Justadragon. He was a good player but a terrible captain. What really appalled me was that even after his multiple requests to cut short his contract, he was still retained as captain.
He was good in a bad team. In a good team, like he is in now, he's a good reserve hooker.
