Are we all glad Ben Hunt left? I know I am. Shouldn't have been re-signed and I was vehemently against it at the time. Not talking in hindsight. But I found it interesting how Flanno rejected his multiple release requests until Hunt took a subtle swipe at Kyle's place in the team. After that, he was out the door a day or two later.

Gutherson is backing himself to remain as our custodian. Says he can still do the job. Gives himself 7/10.
He does not mention his lack of speed/agility/ affective defense, all required of a todays full back. In his four games he has one try, one try assist, one line break, three tackle busts and averages 134 mts. Only the last two are decent Gutho...

The Dragons missed the fewest tackles in the last two seasons and yet all this flack heaped on Dean Young. Shows us he has fixed our brittle middle since '22 when we were the worst defensive team,. So thanks Deano. I have to admit this hit me like a sledge hammer.
Dragons were the most efficient team at tackling in 2025, with the missed/ineffective tackle ratio to total tackles made being under 10%. This indicates that they had the fewest missed tackles in the competition (NRL).

Yep but being beaten one on one on the outside doesn’t register as a missed tackle if you are too slow to slide and lay a hand on someone

Problem with 5/8 - doesnt address our lack of organisaion
Problem with Spine Utility - unless you mean position 18 it would take Liddle away ...
Both are more damaging to us than the status quo.
Centre is about the only position that wouldnt leave us substantially worse off ... Him on the left with Holmes outside him and Suli on the right with ??? wouldnt be worse than what we endure now.

Seemed like the obvious one to me given lack of opportunity and atleast wont let you down with effort like Drinkwater could.
Just need to know if the drinkwater for 2027 rumour is true cause that probably ends our chances to get Fuller. If its true I assume its in cooling off.

Poor defensive reading is a major contributor of that. Some guys are lazy and frankly brainless as they are serial offenders. I dont have to name them as everyone knows who they are. If they wont listen to the defense coach then hook em.

All internal contract talk has been put on hold due to our piss poor season start. Some $3m worth evidently. Our future, the Couchies, Loko and Jake must be extended but forget about Cook and Gutho please BOD. Daniel Meafou needs to be locked in long term too like his brother, Creighton.

Gutho is an organiser of sorts but certainly no Game Manager same as Atkinson. This club only has one G M, Kade Reed. He is a natural.

Gutho isn't looking for an extension. He's done. Personally I thought Cook has been going ok but this is the right thing to do. No one is trying to sign him. Club should wait until much later in the season to make a call on him.
