Definitely depressing. Sounds like the only thing that will budge them is the public humiliation from the likes of Gould saying that this rubbish was there long before Flanno arrived and will be there after he gets sacked.
I think if we get the new GM and Coach.. along with Tim, Ando and the new staff.. that we can make most things happen 'despite' the best efforts of the board. I still need to see Haran go though to know its possible.
This has been Flanno for 3yrs though, he has his favourites who are guaranteed selection.. and he appears to really hold a grudge against anyone that falls out of favour (and I really hate that trait.. as I did with Hook and Mary).. but its not about cup form.. LPT and Nick would have played a heap more games by now if it was.. guys like Tamale and SFinau were the same.. For me a real coach is the bigger man and keeps the dialogue going with the whole squad.

Just go straight to Talau. He already has a relationship with the younger players. It sounds like he is well liked and well respected among his players. He did well with the NSW Cup team last year and is doing well again. He could also be a draw card for players of Polynesian decent, similar to how Marshal is for Wests. Talau has form coaching a "team". I can't remember the last time Dean Young actually coached a team on his own. I would like to see Dean Young to to England and coach a team there, or even coach another NRL team.

Doust was manager of St George Hospital before getting the job of CEO of our club. Back around 2006 or so, my mate who is a Manly fan and good judge of football said to me we had poor management and said he thought Doust was a "bank manager".

I was thinking KF was more likely strutting around chest out, telling some of the others what's what. One of them cracked and said f*ck off. You aren't even good enough for reserve grade. KF ran off, possibly in tears and told Flanno snr. Then Flanno decided he would make it his mission to sabotage these dudes careers as much as he possibly could.
