Did ya see Hunts quotes to weidler responding to Flanno saying Hunt wanting out made things a lot harder
If the star player didn’t like the coach and his mindset was to get out ASAP imagine what certain other players think
Doesn’t help having plodders and underperforming vets getting picked repeatedly
Then these agents and young fellas mates get in the ears and say man you’re better than that guy you should be playing and then they want out and sign elsewhere or request a release
Just an absolute shitshow, players requesting releases is probably just as bad as a loss for me. Shows what an absolute state we’ve been in

They also got several good cheap seasons out of Martin earlier in his career.

And all there players are coming out in the media saying it’s on them its on the playing group, it’s obvious not on them if everyone wants to leave the club, get this fuckwit out of our club he’s already done too much damage

Yup im rly glad its public, hope the others become public.. once the public becomes aware of just how fragile and in the sh*t we are.. it will crank up the heat deluxe on the board and co.... there should be noone standing in the way of the level of change required to move us forward.. not just the coach change.
Rly think Richo is perfect for us.. just dunno if we have the stomach for it, but coach alone I dont think will get us there.. but a well selected coach will obviously help... there are so many guys I can think of.. couldnt say who is the best one though.. I would love Richo on board now to assist with the decision.. we will need an interim ofcourse.

My Dad once tried to change my Italian mother's bolognaise sauce one day. It was a disaster, and that was the last time he ever tried. He learnt by his mistake.
The Dragons tried using old boys as coaches and that recipe was disastrous. So if Flanagan is shown the door and the interim coach turns out to be Young in my view we have failed to learn by our mistakes.
There is an old saying , " A fresh set or fresh pair of eyes can give us a new perspective of the situation". That is what we need, not another pair of eyes that has been sitting there watching our demise.

It shows you the mindset of individual players. Half the battle these days is getting your players mentally tough and ready. But if your mind is elsewhere that is never going to happen

makes sense, for me he is a stand out in terms of being ignored in recent years.. came thru U19 origin with Tamale.. Tamale has 2yrs of first grade.. Nick played some ctr and has been in reserves instead.. even with our injury run last year.
new coach cant come fast enough.

Doust is the problem he and Young protect Haran and in turn he feeds them.
Until.Doust and Young are completely removed from anything to do with any part of SGI nothing will change.

You are right about Doust Mug Fan. He has been a problem for years. Yep, Doust, C Young and Haran. The 3 that more or less have been part of our continued unsuccessful years since 2011. So many problems all over the joint. We need some good speedy players all over the park as well. No fun watching a team running virtually on the spot.

If there is going to be changes then several in high places need the boot, all first grade coaches the boot, several players the boot, recruit faster, fitter more creative players all over the park that when many 6 agains are imposed they can withstand without a hitch. I have to stress that with change that has to happen, it has to be really thought out with due diligence and without a stone not left unturned in all areas of operation at the Club. A massive job that has to be done not a band aid job like we have had over and over again.
Who to keep and who to drop kick out and who to get will be a monumental task but it has to be done without fail.

My understanding is that these guys can be voted out, is that correct ?. If so would that ever happen ?. Otherwise we may as well wrap it up now.
How do you remove them from the club?
Do they actually think over the last couple decades that they have done a good job?Surely just out of pride for the club/ jersey they move aside and let someone else have a go. Clearly whatever they are doing hasn’t worked and continues not to work ffs

I feel confident we will be able to remove Haran.. if the state of the club isnt a signed/sealed directive that the football dept needs a change, and ffs GM of Footy is the only role we can change (along with coach), then we are toast... im sure Watsford will get that done, or resign in the process.
Doust is a whole different story, I don't think there is any route to make him stand down.. so he would have to do it willingly.. I feel like the club is in a bad enough situation that he should want to fall on his own sword.... i.e. our very existence is now in jeopardy if we dont get our next decisions spot on... but he doesnt seem like someone whos going to go anywhere willingly.
