Round 11 V Broncos

Won't be underdone, IMO. Been training at full fitness all off season and had an 80 min hit out in reserve grade last week. Why would he be underdone? But it's ok because according to our coach, we have the best defensive 5/8 in the competition directly opposed to Mam.

I'm more worried about the wings. We have tackle-shy Sloan and poor old Allan goes ok as a centre in reserve grade. He's has some ball skills and tackles pretty well. But he's so slow!

But if we did win, it would surely become a Broncos crisis which would be a lot of fun to see and hopefully cause one of those fast, hard running outside backs being dropped and looking for a release. Because Dragons could definitely use one.

Nothing is going to go right for them. Lots of mistakes, Stewart running over the top of Reynolds early, Su'A in the running for QLD Origin team (I know it's unlikely), Holmes to dominate Staggs. Cobbo is a powerful ball runner but lacks the ball skills of the best fullbacks.

I like it Eric. The Holmes v Staggs matchup should be a good watch, hopefully the young fellas step up in the big lights, it'll be a big crowd. I don't think we should be as heavy outsiders as we are but I'm sure will come down to our errors again and how much pressure we put ourselves under, they are absolutely beatable in current form.

This is one of those games where if we can keep it competitive, it'll be a good result. If the young forwards stand up to Donkeys big name forwards, it'll be a positive sign for the future. As for the backs, Holmes is the only one who would make their backline. Another thing to watch for is LKT taking on the coke head Mam. Oh, that's right, LKT is halfback, not 5/8.

There was the game late in the season a couple of years ago. On paper they had an awesome team but were in free-fall. I thought they might play themselves back into form against that Dragons team. Dragons ended up running away with it. Feagai scored a try where he beat about 6 on them in a 40m run to the line.

Just announced the run on team Blake Lawrie starting, wow and I mean wow. JDB is our best defensive forward. This game could be lost before the 1st interchange.

Enjoy the game mate, hope the boys put on a performance for you to be proud of. Lawrie starting mmm tough one. He just needs to keep it tight in the middle for the 1st 15-20 before JDB and Luch come on.

I find JDB more effective when he comes on after 20 and he seems to play longer minutes esp leading into the 30 min mark when things can get a little loose. Just hope Lawrie and Klemmer can hold up their end of the bargain in the 1st 20

I would usually agree with your assessment but their game plan will be Haas/Carrigan quick play the balls roll down the middle of the ruck. We need our best defensive forward on the park. Big crowd here

You’re spot but unfortunately we are a little short handed up front at the moment. Huge risk starting Lawrie and Klemmer against Haas and Carrigan. Flanno has rolled the dice here, let’s hope he gets it right
