Sydney Roosters vs St George Illawarra Dragons 3pm at Central Coast Stadium

St George Illawarra Dragons team:

  1. Cody Ramsey - No surprise
  2. Mathew Feagai - We need to have JoDragon give this a guy a bake. Get the ball and run hard more. Not only once or twice a half.
  3. Moses Suli - No surprise
  4. Zac Lomax - No surprise. He's been pretty good recently after stinking it up in the first half of the season.
  5. Tautau Moga - Was this guy in Griffins Broncos U20s team of 15 years ago?
  6. Talatau Amone - Had a bad game last week. Needs to make up for it.
  7. Ben Hunt - No surprise
  8. Francis Molo - Need a little more from him.
  9. Andrew McCullough - Can tackle but offers pretty much nothing in attack.
  10. Blake Lawrie - Improved out of sight recently.
  11. Jack Bird - Must be close to getting dropped.
  12. Jaydn Su’A - No surprise
  13. Jack de Belin - Back at lock. He's our best forward no matter where the coach puts him.
  14. Moses Mbye - No surprise
  15. Josh Kerr - Wasn't his worst game last week but a typical game for him.
  16. Aaron Woods - Not sure why he was dropped. He hasn't been going bad recently.
  17. Jaiyden Hunt - He needs to put a few more kms into those legs before playing NRL again. Was excellent for 5 min and then totally gassed.
  18. Michael Molo - Not sure why he was dropped either.
  19. Jayden Sullivan - Some time to put the running game largely away and practice game management in the NSW Cup.
  20. Tyrell Sloan - Must be getting close to a return to the top grade.
  21. Billy Burns - Interesting he still hasn't gotten a chance in the NRL this year.
  22. Josh Mcguire - He'll come in for J. Hunt.

Jack Gosiewski 🏋️ has fallen off the coaches radar completely.

This coach makes several unforced changes to a winning team but only makes a couple of forced changes to a losing team.

Agree with Feagai his involvement is restricted to his sideline plus 20m infield only, needs to do more and get more involved. I knew Moga would get first dibs at Ravs spot he too needs to get involved. I was hoping Amone was gone and Sullivan linked with Hunt if he plays. Good to see JDB back to his specialist lock spot but worried about Molo/Lawrie starting props Molo has dissappointed me so far this season hasn't run for the 100m plus. The Rorters pack looks extremely strong and the bench is very strong watch when JWH comes on. Manu v Amone at 5/8 is a no contest, Manu will run all over him im afraid. McCullough v Verills has me very concerned especially when I believe that Watson will come on to replace Verills at some stage and im afraid McCullough will be tanked by then. The only place we will be able to hold our own will be in the centres. The Rorters will be after revenge for the Anzac Day loss and need the win to jump over us. Unfortunately if we play this week the same as last week we will cop an almighty hiding which I am suggesting is going to happen. The pundits agree with me installing the Rorters at $1.39 favourites to steamroll us.

It wouldn't surprise me if the Dragons got a touch up. At least JDB is back at lock but as you said about Molo. Massive let down. Griffin recruited Molo, Woods and Burgess for the front row rotation. That pretty much sums up the predicament the team is in.

A flogging and mid week sacking of Hook won't surprise me. Looks like he's lost the dressing room.

Unfortunately it's just not working out. In almost 2 years there's been no improvement. Right now looks like the team is going backward.
Considering the team was dealing with the Jack De Belin situation immediately beforehand, pretty hard to say they have improved in the last two years.

Amone- Had a bad game last week.
Hard task master. Not his role to steer the team that was Sullivans. Junior looked fine with ball in hand.. threw a clever pass for Ramsay's try, ran well and did his defensive share. Dim Sims lost us that game with his sin binning.

Francis Molo - Need a little more from him.
Need a lot more. Prefer his brother for output. Needs another 5ks tho.
Jack Bird - Must be close to getting dropped.
Please do it.. at the vey least cut his mins in half.
Jayden Sullivan - Some time to put the running game largely away and practice game management in the NSW Cup.
What I said. Sully was replacing Hunt as prime playmaker not Amone.

I only saw 22 mins of match play and did not spot him. Just looked at his mins.. 11. Did fine in those mins with two tackle busts, 5 tackles, two offloads. 3 runs for 10ms per run is more than acceptable. How had he been going in Ressies.

Actually, that's a good point. If we sit back and give it cool thought, he probably wasn't that bad. He definitely ran a few times when he should have passed and vice versa and in the second half he kicked the ball a metre too long, like every second kick. Sullivan did the same every other kick. But a metre here or there, they were perfect kicks.
