I kind of agree Kyle is not good enough but the best we have. Mostly his kicking is nowhere near good enough for a halfback. That game will do nothing to silence the critics.
Until that last try, I thought Sloan was having a good game.

In the end it came down to three big moments in the last few minutes.
1st was Allen jumping from the field of play and inexplicably falling back into the in goal area.
Secondly Gutherson decision to do a short drop out instead of kicking the pigskin to the halfway line and making the Dogs earn field position.
Lastly Sloan not trusting his shoulder defender and opening up the sideline for the opposition winger.
It's the little 1% that ultimately decide the majority of games this season. Unfortunately for us those 1% have cost us at least 3 games if not more.
Good effort considering the majority of pundits were expecting a very big win to one of the premiership favourites. The lads did themselves proud tonight but just weren't good enough to seal a much needed win.

Was sitting right beside the in goal where their last one was scored, Gutho gave the ref and the touchie a gobful each. Looked like the ref was sending him from the fiedlld at one stage, pointing for him to go? Expect to hear more about that.

Check out Suli in replay, just stood, watched inviting Galvin to make his play.This put Sloan in two minds and he made the wrong choice. Try down to slack defense from Suli and misjudgement from Sloan.

Agree with all of those, but we got no favours from the ref either, which always seems to be the case when you play a team expected to win.

Dunno the amount of times this season the bloody short drop out has backfired on us. A level head was needed and Gutho blew it.

Disagree. First grade players, Suli, dont stand off play makers and wait for their call. They move in and barrell them or at the very least try to put them off their intended play. Suli did neither jo.

Closer than I thought it would. I'm one of Flanno's hardest critics. He's been really bad. But I thought he had fair points in the press conference. How many times has our team lost possession due to ball plants? And if it was a pass into Sloan, it can't but have been forward. If it wasn't a pass, can't but have been a knock on.

Very proud of the effort, dont know what to make of the last few minutes. I really dont know what to make of Sloan, feel sorry for Finau CT probably replaces him, the refs deserved whatever gobfull they got !!
