The ref in this game was a disgrace, the same as our halves, our management in the red zone is horrific and yet we were right in that game. Bring on Metcalf !!!

I don't think the Dragons have improved much since Flanno was sacked. It's just the Warriors halfback is only 50% better than Kyle which makes him the second worst halfback in the competition. If their coach continues to go with him rather than Metcalf, they won't get many more wins.

On the subject of Kyle, he was disgraceful again tonight.

One last thing I want to say, Jake Halangahu needs to be on for the longer and Josh Kerr services are better suited to reserve grade. Bring in Webster or Hutchinson on the bench.

There was a lot to like about our team today. The mistakes are less and definitely the effort is there. The backs are defending much better and we know next year the attack will be also.

The praise once again goes to Toby Ryan Hamish Loko Dylan etc. And this year they are learning together with no injuries

What a great effort by the lads, just lacked creativity in the halves and a backline that just couldn't create opportunities off the back of a engine room that shaded the Warriors pack.

Those Couchman brothers were outstanding again today, week in week out closely followed by Stewart and Egan. The final score didn't reflect the closeness of that game.

Only 44% of the ball a 81% completion rate, only 23 missed tackles and we gave one of the premiership favourites a very big scare.

A very brave effort by the lads, the future looks bright especially when we can get a decent backline that can take advantage of our young forwards dominance.

Every 50/50 call went against us in the 2nd half but we kept trying . We are still a chance of avoiding the spoon if we can continue to play like this for the rest of the season.

He is a Shane Flanagan signing a year and a bit before he came to us in 2025. To me not the greatest of signings but Shane loved him and couldn't wait for him to play for us alongside his son. Both the son and Atko will be replaced next year I have no doubt. We need spark and ability to score tries in the halves. Without looking at stats, I can't recall Flanno scoring a try for ages and Atko I think has only scored one or two.

There is a player in him, so im not sure if its a result of being paired with Flanagan and being coached by Shane/Dean.. maybe a pre-season next to Metcalf and/or Reed will help him focus on what hes good at....

That said.. someone mentioned elsewhere that the club is after a 6 as their next priority... cause they are very much not sure on Atko to partner Metcalf.. if that was the case could he end up at ctr or fullback reserve or 14? I love the kid, love his attitude.. I dunno why he looks a shadow of what he was at the sharks.. but that has been a theme with most of our signings.. which is why im nervous about the assumption that we will click next year due to said recruits.. but atleast more of the jigsaw pieces will be there.. ultimately a lack of speed in a few positions makes everything so much harder for us.

The red zone attack is horrific. There’s some times were it’s so telegraphed and slow and their just passing out the back for the sake of it but not actually digging into the line or testing the defence

That’s gotta be a huge area of concern while I’m also wary the attacking issues are partly Gutho/Kyle/Atkinson related
