CT in my eyes is rated by the coach as our No.1 winger. Sloan needs to step up and get involved and come in off his wing look for the pill

That was me. I didn't know it. Just trying to figure out why TF Finau still hasn't been selected. That was one possible theory. Only two things I can discount:
  1. Form in trials and reserve grade is keeping him out of first grade.
  2. The good form and winning of the first grade team is making it hard to drop anyone.

Looks like they have a young team. As tends to happen with such teams, they run hot and cold. Last week was cold so this week could be bad for us. But it's ok. I tipped them to win by a lot. So if I'm right, I'll go further ahead of you in tipping. If I'm wrong, I can be happy Dragons won. Never accuse of me of not looking at the bright side of things😇.

Thats fine im very happy that someone is actually winning the tipping competition for the 1st time in 3 yrs apart from me, even if they are only warming the seat for me, 😆 .I would be extremely surprised if the Titans beat us at Win with the team they have named.

Thats why I was a half decent coach back in the day. Stats can be made to tell you anything you want them to, easily manipulated to suit any version.

However if you are good at interrogating each statistic which I am they can be used successfully.

So in regards to my , some may say anal rhetoric in regards to my love of statistics. My 100m plus rule that served me so well as a coach, 3 forwards running 100m makes your team competitive.

This season Titans played 4, reached that stat 3 times, same 3 forwards including Tito, who won't be there on Friday so the other 2 are Fotuiaka and Fermor.

So target those 2 to both offensively and defensively and their go forward options in the engine room will be limited. Then the unknown Fifita comes on so ensure you don't let him under your guard.

We have had only 2 forwards achieve that stat in 4 games and only twice, Couchman and JDB and yet we still have the same number of wins as the Titans and 2 x 1 point losses where according to my statistical analysis we should not have won those games yet we let both slip.

Titans are winless at Win. Hence I'm extremely confident that we can collect the 2 points. Of course there are variables to any game plan and statistic based game plans that's when good coaches have contingency plans.

Hope you're right , yes we should win this , but I am not a stats guy , all stats go out the door if they win this ........ You are only as good as your last game and both teams are crap ........

Correct stats can be manipulated and are over used by fans.
The only game we have won no middles ran over 100m.

Correct, you need to be an expert at interrogating stats. Example your team missed 40 tackles in the game, you need to know, when, where, how, was it as a result of a player beating 3 in one movement or do you have a consistent issue in your defensive structures. I believe our right edge is our weakest link, Illias/Su'a and the stats would appear to confirm that but that is where the opposition target your play maker so not surprised

The plan of fielding the halves at 3, which all clubs do, to protect then from the middle could be looked at.

Maybe Young should look at Lachy defending at 4 or even 2 (a lot of juniors teams do that) and push Suli in one.

Good to know. I was just reporting what someone else was speculating about. But should be the first winger picked according to what I've seen.

Bennett moved Soward and we won the competition the next season, it did help that Scott was protecting him

I'm confident but history records are there to be broken but this would be a big upset if the Titans got over us at Win.
