Tariq was better than Frizz, IMO. Good pack indeed. If that thing with JDB hadn't happened........ Well who knows what could have happened?
I don't blame JDB. He was innocent. I blame the club for not fighting the NRL tooth and nail over it. In the event it turned out how it did, club should have demanded massive compensation from the NRL. Instead they just accept it. Makes me sick.

If it was the Roosters or Storm or Raiders their coaches and club would have gone non stop to fight it , whether right or wrong ....... Like I have said if we play by the rules , even with recruiting , have to be smarter or we will be left behind ............

Agree completely. Stupid and treated his pregnant girlfriend very badly for which he deserved some kind of punishment. It wasn't unlawful and let the perfect moral creature cast the first stone. The club and every player in the first grade team along with JDB was punished for 2 years. Not even a squeak from the club about it and then don't get me started on the RLPA.

I've said over and over, I thought it was the perfect time to let go of Hunt at the end of his last contract but TBH, if both Hunt and Kyle Flanno were cut loose today, which of the two, if either do you think would be quickly snapped up by another club? I very much doubt one of the two could get a deal anywhere.

Yeh have to agree. Flanno jr played his one good game in the pre season. He has regressed steadily since, other than his defense. I now see why he was dumped by his previous clubs.

Two years being denied to play the game he loved against the club he'd bleed for, was sufficient punishment. Our BOD were gutless.

I'd say that was way, way over the top punishment and the biggest problem with it for me was that it punished the club, the team and fans.

My two cents worth:
In round 1, 2026 none will be in the top 30.
I really want Sloan to do well but compared to most fullbacks, many not half as talented, he doesn't go looking for the ball.

Sloan for his attacking ability perhaps depending on his and the coaching staffs ability to get him up defensively to 1st grade standards, maybe Liddle but he's not in reality a player that has the natural speed out of dummy half to make those decisive runs. Hunt/Flanagan combination will win us some matches but moving forwards after 25 you would want younger better playmakers. Just my view

He's an enigma as a player isn't he? We have the right coach to improve his all round game, his strengths are definitely attack, his minuses are defence and still not able to read the game both in attack and defence. Give him one more season and if he is unable to increase those areas he is lacking in then he's just another prodigious young talent that failed to take that final step.
