Reed is already better than Savala. Besides a long kicking game Savala doesn't offer much. He certainly wouldn't have wanted to come and play for us as a back up either. In my opinion signing Savala for 3 years would have been a stupid signing.

That’s a big call considering Reed hasn’t played 1st grade yet.
Savala would have been a C grade signing, taking up cap space and blocking Reed's path. Reed should be playing first grade this season. I would rather Reed than Savala in our team this year.
From the one game I have seen Reed play, he already looks better than Savala. Reed was the best player on the field for us in last week's game. That is very impressive. He has played a year in the Illawarra comp against grown men, but not first graders.
I don't think so. I think Finau Latu will be one we regret. But we didn't "let" him go.
He was let go. Like Tamale who Flanno also didn't want, he'd be our best winger if he had stuck around.

I do think we should have kept Tamale and agree that he would have been our best winger, had we kept him. I wanted to see him given game time, when he was playing for us.
Big mistake. A lot have beem made but I think Dan Anderson is going to put an end to that. Will still make some bad decisions. Everyone does but not many.
There are also players who struggle under one club’s system but flourish at another. Michael Weyman and Paul Vaughan are examples, both became high quality forwards after leaving Canberra and joining SGI.
Jacob Liddle as well, couldn’t string 3 games together to show his quality at the tigers and then becomes one of the better hookers in the comp with us
Weyman was better than Ryles, as good as Bull Bailey. Some coaches can see talent and help players realise it. Flanno doesn't.
Both he and Finau, they developed a terrific partnership in our Ressies over two seasons, now the Raiders will benefit from this not us. gggrrr.
Too many good players he did not want. His biggest failing. I dont like the guy but I will respect him if he can get us finals bound during his tenure.
