My thought is that someone should learn WTF he or she is writing about before he or she does it.
Firstly the following will surely be able to find a deal in the ESL if not another NRL club:
  • Max Feagai
  • Ben Murdoch-Masila
Next is confirmed to have gone to the ESL:
  • Zane Musgrove
Next won't be in the 13 or 17 unless there are injuries to key players:
  • Jack Bird (in the 17 but not the 13)
  • Matt Feagai (unlikely to be in the 17)
  • Kyle Flanagan
Next will be in the 17:
  • Ryan Couchman
  • Savelio Tamale and/or Sione Finau (I think the former is a better player but latter is a better winger.)
Next are players not listed who will be in the top 30:
  • Sione Finau
  • Josh Coric
Next are players under pressure for a spot in the 17 (not counting those already nominated as not being in the 17):
  • Frank Molo
  • Mike Molo
  • Mikaele Ravalawa (better learn to be in position to make tackles)
  • Tyrell Sloan
  • Jacob Liddle (might be safe due to lack of options)

I hope this is the team come round 1. That is, I hope some of those young players are up to the task and I hope Sloan can dramatically harden up over the off season. His ankle injury is an excellent opportunity to hit the gym for 6 hours a day with a lot of protein shakes.

Pressure is on Suli to keep Tamale out.

Max and BMM aren't going anywhere.
Kyle will be in the 17

Josh Coric and Jackson Shereb are not in the top 30.

Dan Russell has been extended.

Savelio Tamale has a lot of work to do on his defensive reads amd techniques before he is a regular FGer.

We are still pushing hard for a 9.

I guess when it comes to the Dragons these days, no news is good news. Does pre-season training start from November 1 for those not in rep teams?

Shereb physical ability is the prototype for modern second rowers. Unfortunately lazy AF and might not be tough enough to play first grade.
Shereb played a lot better when in the middle and was worked, on the edge he doesn't go looking for work and seems to drift in and out of the game

Jarrah Treweek is the next backrower in the Shereb build hopefully he progresses better.

Typically they come back in the second week of November.
They is no set date, players use to be given 8 weeks and 10 weeks off. Younger players 8 older 10.
It's now 7 weeks and 9.
So players like Amone Feagai back first and Lawrie Bird later.
Then rep players stagered Lomax Molo back first, Hunt and Suli probably new year.
They can come back early so maybe Sele would, to get up to date.
Some players continued training during finals, Sau BMM.

Have you given up on Shereb or still a chance of kicking on to be what I think we all hope for?

Backrowers not getting involved enough not always but often is the equally the fault of the halves.

How to make the NRL’s bottom 9 from 2023 great again

DRAGONS

How it came to this

Another season of disappointment for St George Illawarra, who didn’t start out on the right foot. There was little hope for their season and poor results cost Anthony Griffin his job after 11 rounds, causing skipper Ben Hunt to threaten to walk out on his contract. They finished with just five wins and a lot of questions about how to fix the mess.

Reason for hope

Premiership-winning coach Shane Flanagan could be the man to turn things around after five seasons without making the finals as a club. There’s plenty of rising stars on the books and he knows how to get the best out of young talent.

Key issues

Hunt has been the club’s best player over the past few years and the Dragons need him to buy into Flanagan’s coaching to get the best out of the whole team. For now he’s agreed to see out his deal but keeping him engaged in the club will be the biggest issue.
