Reed could be over whelmed and have a shocker for his standard but will still be better than flanno

Was Blocka on the field, one thing I'll give Blocka he has always stood up for the backs and younger players.

An unexpected surprise, I will be at the ground on Anzac Day as I am every year. Marching with my Dads medals on comes first.

Then off to the ground and hopefully I will witness our 7 for the next decade coming good.

Good luck young man apart from SF/GF this is our biggest game on the yearly football calendar.

A traditional and solemn day for all those involved. My only advice is trust yourself, remember what got you here and believe in yourself.

You don't play 1st grade by accident, you have earned the right.

You will be shaking, your adrenalin will be pumping through your body like never before as the last post is played and you take part in the pre game ceremony.

You will be targeted and heavily targeted no doubt, but your mates will have your back.

Play hard, play well and cherish this day, no matter what the outcome, leave everything you have on the field, your first of many wearing the big red V.

That's the main challenge.. both play right side.. I've seen Kade play both sides maybe more than Atkinson.. but feel like right is his best.. also I assume Atkinson will do most of the kicking...

It's hard because normally the new coach optimism, you get a full pre-season, but Deano has 4 days.. and if we lose.. the honeymoon is starting to wear off.. but so far so good.

I will say that until Egan is back (and fully fit) its crucial to give Kade a bodyguard.. and maybe Ryan Couchman is that man... that might well be a reason that Reed is on the right.... I guess it was going to be Su'a.. I dunno how Kade is gonna last 80mins of an anzac intensity first grade game (he struggled hard in that trial effort).. and cook as well is supposed to run 80.. if we cop a cook injury moving forward we are f***ed.. but look here we are, atleast its going to be f***ing interesting to watch it go down... hope the kid holds his dukes up and doesnt cop a shoulder injury or HIA from some dogshot.. but what can u do.. atleast Kyle is on the extended if the 6, 7 or 9 goes down...

We finally have 2 good long kickers in Atko and Reed. It'd be good for them to know they've got a fall back option in each other for kicking. We might need it as our back 5 could struggle with yardage work.

Last time would've been hunt and widdop.

This game has to be a more than good defensive one by the Dragons. They have to contain the Roosters throughout the full 80 minutes. Tackle and keep tackling all game when they have the ball. Our attack also needs improving a real lot. Can't put too much pressure on Reed but I feel with his already years of playing as a kid and being guided by his dad non stop, he won't shirk from his responsibilities and will provide a much better attacking game than who we have had. He just does things more naturally and gets good results.

A win will surprise but it would be a wonderful surprise if we did. I can't wait to hear the post match victory song to be started by one of our guys who we don't know as yet. Tears will flow from my eyes if that song actually is bellowed out by the guys in the dressing room. Boy, it will be an amazing feeling.
