I am not the one hating it.
Soz, misread your post.I am not the one hating it.
Is this the first local junior halfback given his debut at no 7 since Matty Head? If memory serves, Drew Hutchinson’s debut was off the bench with JDB starting at 7
KK with a Couchie
Loko with a different Couchie
Luc for impact
Egan/Jake/Stewart
That fills me with a bit of excitement
I think Jacob will become too big to play edge, could be wrong but that’s my thoughts.I doubt Dyl and Jake will be the edges together.
There's a reason Jake has been in the middle in Cup and Ryan got edge ahead of him.

Park Nick next to Kade.I think Jacob will become too big to play edge, could be wrong but that’s my thoughts.
Egan and Nick seem to move alot quicker. Jacob could turn into an absolute monster when he stops growing
Rev, I think you’ll find the young blokes will be thought of more seriously under Dean and Willie compared to FlannoInteresting.. I mean I originally thought Halangahu could only really make it in 1st grade as a middle.. a shorter Taumalolo.. I just thought with his young age we might give him 1-2yrs on the edge first.. but time rolls on.. if hes considered a middle, that does negate some of our 2nd row depth.. but also fixes our middle depth... and Ryan is a good backup for 2nd row even if CST doesnt come on as we had hoped (still TBD). Would be exciting if we had the 4 of the young middles extend (Jacob, Loko, Toby & Ryan before Nov 1), that's basically our future pack + KK and Stewart.
Hopefully that means Nick is more seriously considered as our right edge 2nd rower moving forward.. more in 2027.. but be nice to get him some 5-10 games this year.
Hope Egan stays fit.. I hate getting excited about certain blokes in certain positions and then they r goneskies for long periods.
Yes I forgot about Clune. There was also Brett Firman and Daniel HoldsworthI think the answer is Adam Clune in 2020
Other notable debuts in the halves:
Dean Byrne in 2003 ... Head debuted from the bench.
Bud debuted at 5/8 outside Clune
Richie Williams debuted at 5/8 in 2007 and had a blinder
Drew Hutchison debuted at 7 Round 18, 2015 - The DeBelin game was his 2nd game in Round 23
Import Darren Nicholls debuted at 7 for us in 2018 in what was close to the worst game for try causes in NRL history in a 52-30 loss to the storm (did Nighty play prop that game)
