Was there a rain delay? 68 runs in one session is ridiculous, isn't it?Sri Lanka 2-68 at lunch.

No rain delay. Was there a rain delay? 68 runs in one session is ridiculous, isn't it?
Yes even for Test cricket it is a touch slow. Wickets falling usually slows the scoring rate.68 runs in one session is ridiculous, isn't it?
Maybe Sri Lanka are playing for a draw. How many overs in one session usually? And I know spinners get through overs quicker.Yes even for Test cricket it is a touch slow. Wickets falling usually slows the scoring rate.
Anywhere from 25-35. Depends on several variables, like the rate an over is bowled, how many runs are hit, delays for batting gear or refreshments on a hot day.How many overs in one session usually?
I thought it was more. So 60something is slowish but not abnormally slow.Anywhere from 25-35. Depends on several variables, like the rate an over is bowled, how many runs are hit, delays for batting gear or refreshments on a hot day.
It is when you are aiming for 100 a session or 300 in a day..as that is seen as the benchmark.I thought it was more. So 60something is slowish but not abnormally slow.
You are the master at finding excellent old videos. It is when you are aiming for 100 a session or 300 in a day..as that is seen as the benchmark.
Donald Bradman once scored 300 in a day alone. But he was a freak or genius.. take you pick.
I have not even seen this a remastered clip of The Don scoring that 300 against England in 1930. Check out the print quality for footage so old. Enjoy.

The Australian legend remains the only batsman to score over 300 runs in one day’s play in Test cricket.scroll.in
Thanks but British Movietone butchered the bulk of Bradman's record breaking 300 in a day.You are the master at finding excellent old videos.

Do you know if it's true that in England or Britain, cricket is considered a somewhat bourgeois game? Kind of like Rubgy Yawnion here. Thanks but British Movietone butchered the bulk of Bradman's record breaking 300 in a day.
Ruby Yawnion here is the sport for those who can't make it in League.Do you know if it's true that in England or Britain, cricket is considered a somewhat bourgeois game? Kind of like Rubgy Yawnion here.
Yep but it's still only played in a handful of expensive private schools. And outside of major population centres, you can't find a game of Yawnion. I was told cricket is kind of like that in England. Obviously more than a handful of expensive private schools but not popular all over as RL is in NSW and QLD.Ruby Yawnion here is the sport for those who can't make it in League.

Used to be, not so much now. Rugby yawnion still is tho.England or Britain, cricket is considered a somewhat bourgeois game?
What did Sri Lanka end up getting in the first innings?Baggy Greens 3-98 at stumps. A reasonable position but we will need to kick on today as we have to bat last on what is shaping as a super 'dust bowl' of a pitch..
Hmmmm so seems pretty evenly poised.
Especially so as the wicket will almost certainly get more spin friendly as the match progresses. Did Sri Lanka win the toss and elect to bat?Hmmmm so seems pretty evenly poised.
Looks like Australia is heading to victory. Over 100run ahead and still 2 wickets. The last 2 aren't going to score many but Pat Cummins is still in and he might score a few runs quickly.Especially so as the wicket will almost certainly get more spin friendly as the match progresses.
