This is looking like a low scoring game with India rolled for 150 and the Aussies five wickets down as we approach stumps.

Yes for two home series and four away Edward.
Unless what is going on now is a freak occurrence, doesn't look like this is going to change this season.
Why is this team (usually) so good at one day and 20-20 cricket but so bad at test cricket. Maybe need to select the same batsman or at least tell the test cricket batsman to be much more aggressive.

Surprising that this track looks to be settling down as India batting with little pressure at the start of the second innings. I honestly figured this pitch would be faster and harder to bat on from day 2 onwards as it baked then cracked under the hot Perth sun.

India lead by 300 runs and Kholi still hasn't batted in the second innings. No rain forecast. This probably won't see a 5th day.

Australia require 522 runs to win and are 3 for 12 runs at stumps on day 3. What a debacle.

Does anyone know if Mark Taylor is employed by the Dragons?

Cant answer that
Is the losing team penalised with a reduction in match payments?
No. The only time a players match payments are reduced is if he has done something to bring the game into disrepute. There is also a loss of valuable WTC points for slow over rates, which I find bewildering.

Kind of strange. Attendance and TV broadcasts must lose the money from the missing time.
Yep he and the great Steven Smith.
Even when he was scoring a lot of runs, I thought he lacked the talent of the old teams batsmen Hayden, Symonds, Waugh's, Gilchrist, Ponting.

Do you know which NRL team he follows?

Steven Waugh it about the closest to him from that list. You'd have both in your trench if the captain wanted someone to bat for his life. Neither were/are pretty to watch but both had incredible mental stamina in their prime..
Steve Waugh didn't go for the flamboyant shots as much as many of his teammates but his scoring rate was right up there with them and number of runs scored was probably even greater than any. Ponting was probably very close and was pushed out before he had dramatically declined.
