God they’ve been disappointing today, so many errors and stupid decisions.

Steelers have been caught with the intensity of the Knights start. They need to turn this momentum around sooner rather than later. Bombed a certain try as well.

Yah a try basically off a first set charge down has completely rattled them.. the pressure of finals has really effected them and they r playing nervous.. blew maybe 5 tries in that first half.. should have had a big lead.. and in the 2nd half... it was a couple of penalties called on macgregor in possession playing the ball that completely blew the game apart when we were on the charge, I replayed it a few times I cant see what its for.. and then not finding touch..

Dunno if they can come back from here.. atleast they get a 2nd bite, but they need a mental reset for next week... this is a side that lost only 1 game all year.

Quality in their halves of Butler/Votano compared to ours quite stark tbh. Our forward pack and fullback are better.

Hopefully SG ball can keep up their form against the storm after this. Predicting a Kade Reed masterclass

not a lot of love from the ref on decisions today, both games at home.. and yes I cant believe Timmo whos so good defensively let that try in.. dissapointed we didnt score either there thru Reed... that 50m run from Heidke busting 6 tackles.. beautiful.

Cooper Clarke is destroying our middles, been the best on ground by an absolute mile.

isnt it 50/20 or 40/30 or something But yes the decisions today.. if it can possibly go against us.. its going that way.. couldnt fathom 0/2 today I thought we were sure things in HM, but every time we get back into a game, some completely random/soft try/moment happens and we go further behind.. not sure we can catch up 14pts.. I mean we can, but we have to score first or its season done for SG Ball.

They’re just playing too well for us atm, storms forwards killing it and ours not so much.

Only really need Reed and maybe 1 or 2 outside backs to come good from SG Ball this season. We won't even be able to keep all the juniors we already have in the forwards.

They’ll get Reed/Meafou/Heidke/Phillips that go to cup level and beyond IMO, there’s a couple talented guys like Fitzgibbon but they aren’t that elite caliber for mine like the 4 I listed.

Yeah really gutted, but like HM, we didnt stay in the game early and some of those soft tries were the difference.. we have one of the best backlines in the comp but we didnt even get to use it until the last 20mins.. and we had 2 prime opportunities to score and go 6behind with 10mins to go and bombed em..

Positive is we can move the kids up into Flegg now.. atleast HM fight again next week.

And I dunno what to do with Saifiti, id move him up cause really only Williams or Kirk r looking promising, his brain snaps are something else though.. definitely didnt get that ball down. Heidke/Philips/Reed/DMeafou/Weatherall will all move up, Weatherall I havent seen the 'gun' that we have signed up for development NRL honours yet.. hopefully he is in there..

I rly liked him all year, but had a shocker today.. guess it depends what theyre gonna do with Afu/Buchanan/Lyric.. bit of a logjam there.. Heidke is the only sure thing, today he didnt have the space he normally gets but he still bloke plenty of tackles with strength instead.

Nah mate, just doesn’t do anything exceptional or stand out like Heidke or the other elite guys in the team

The level is so high to make it to first grade, I thought David Afu who’s much better than Timmins was going to carve up and make his way to cup but he’s been treading water in flegg really.

Some huge talents able to sign elsewhere

From this list (excluding dragons boys) I think Metcalfe and the 2 warriors forwards Mikaele and Neal are VERY talented players and the ones a load of clubs will have a sniff around at.

They mentioned Metcalfe could leave as well because his manager Isaac Moses and Roosters don’t get along.

Philips is over rated, I disagreed with the signing and nothing I've seen has changed my mind.
He has been dropped back to the bench several times, plus had other issues he may not last.

Weatherall I havent seen the 'gun' that we have signed up for development NRL honours yet.. hopefully he is in there..

Leeroy put on 10kg in NRL pre-season, plus with the 6 weeks suspension he has struggled with fitness and adaptating to bigger frame.
He'll come good during the year.

I heard from one of the people up in brisbane that knew phillips that he has some character concerns.

Whatever that means

Would have loved to sign Kaawyn Patterson but dogs were all over that unfortunately.
