He never said his son didn't have an indifferent season. This is getting silly now. Lkt isn't joey johns and neither is Kyle. They both have big flaws. If he wants to back a better defensive half then so be it. Ditto if he wants to back lkt who is a more attacking threat.

He also waxed lyrical about atko performances as a half & mentioned he can play 1,6 or 13 but atm is going to play 7.

I think people are using this as an excuse to vent.

All he said was lkt had an indifferent season but is still young into his career. Lkt did have an indifferent season. His defence was bad & kyle's attack was bad too. Both have big flaws. He mentioned Reed when no one apart from dragons fans know about him. He didn't have to mention Reed at all.

This has been blown over the top & comments like he's a bad father is very poor. Tim watsford has said we're in the market for a half, I'm pretty sure ando has said something similar too. Ditto with flanno saying Kyle wasn't brought here to be a half. None of our other options are proven quality atm.

I'll tell you exactly why. He sees LKT as the primary threat to Kyle's place in the team and wants him to walk out. Flanno can then continue picking Kyle and say, there is no one else because LKT walked out.

I usually agree with you but not on this. I'm sure lots of or all players get constructive criticism away from the media but for LKT to be singled out like that...... to quote Crawley on NRL 360, "there is something going on." I can't pretend it isn't going on after this.
