hope we throw the footy around
The blueprint is there from our last 15mins on Sat. Dead set I was blown away watching us play that mesmerizing impro footy that shell shocked the Eels, spectators and the press boys. We set an NRL record too.

I heard she had the baby that morning early.
In the Fox sport pre-game show they said his partner had given birth that morning. Is it true? I don't know but if it is, provided that the health of the mother and baby was ok, I find it outrageous. Couldn't he have left them for a few hours? He has the rest of his life with them if he chooses. Why would a few hours hurt?
As the Rev said, it is what it is. Put yourself in his shoes, play footy or be with you wife and partner at this mind blowing time of life. Like they also say, family comes first.
Of course family comes first but if there was no medical complications and mother and baby were healthy, why did he need to be around them? A man has obligations to put food on the table for the mother and baby.

If it's true the baby was born early Saturday morning and both the mother and baby were in good health, good luck putting food on the table I just hope the Dragons don't assist him in that one iota after his present contract is finished.

There is no point worrying about spilt milk (pun intended).. we dunno their situation.. the stories were conflicting about when bub was born, but i think she was still in labour.. anyway it rly doesnt matter.. im just shitty we couldnt win the game, Connor did the basics well enough, its the others that didnt play to 1st grade standard.

Analysis = true

Connor was the least of our problems.

Connor was good but we needed Liddle.
Too harsh? It seems so unbelievable to me, I think it mustn't be true. She must have been in labour or there must have been some complication. Otherwise why wouldn't he say, "Gotta go now. See you in a few hours"? The baby will have been between the room with all the new born babies (postnatal ward?) and breastfeeding neither of which Jacob could help with.

I guess she must have been in labor until late or there was some complication.

Well here is the opportunity to give some young players a run. I have liked the look of LKT, however with limited minutes yet to see if he can withstand the rigours of a full 1st grade game. The coach will pick his mate Bird perhaps at 5/8 but hopefully not we need to give LKT a start. Otherwise can't see too many changes RFM should get a run as should the Couchman's. Time will tell

Muhleisen off the bench? Why? I wouldn't waste a bench spot on a 2nd hooker in this game

Way, way too harsh and quite honestly a ridiculous statement. It's the birth of his kid for christ sake, this is such outdated utter rubbish. The dad doesn't need to be there cause he "needs to put food on the table", and "what can he do being there anyway" what is this the bloody 60s? C'mon mate surely not.

Carers and parental leave exist and are mandated for good reason, not just for the mum, and he can take as long as he chooses. At the end of the day it's a game of footy, a job, and nothing more. He has absolutely every right to (and most definitely should be) putting his family first.

Side note: Imagine the backlash if the club didnt support him!? He and the club made the right decision, regardless of result.

o Ryan Couchman has a knee issue
o LKT to start is a big call, but it frees up Bird to help with our outside back issues (I actually dont know if he has a contract beyond 2025, so I do wonder if they are trying to make a call on whether he is Top30 worthy in 2026).
o Ravalawa not even in the extended says everything about filthy Flanno must be (even Tamale is in)
o No way that bench will remain like that.. rly curious to see if Tonga or Stewart play

Note: The Raiders squad is a lot stronger than I thought.. Whitehead/Rapana out, but the rest looks solid.. great bench too.. we will need to be right up if we want to compete in this game.

Happy to be corrected regarding Ryan C.

Hope Stewart and Tonga play.
