I remember her. Good player a couple of years ago but they moved from a skill, agility and speed based game to a power based game. So I guess she wouldn't be any good anymore. In the GF 2 years ago, Roosters big outside backs running hard dominated our much smaller outside backs.

I was a fan, just googled her, she sat out last year due to some personal issue's, looks like that might be the reason she isn't playing.

St George Illawarra has 10 players in the 20 of the NSW team. As far as I know that isn't the extended squad. They have 20 players in the team, not 17.

Women’s State of Origin U19s: NSW team analysis​

Indie Bostock​

  • NRLW/state affiliate: Dragons/Illawarra Steelers

  • Scoring tries runs in the family. The younger sister of Dolphins winger Jack Bostock, the Dragons centre scored 13 tries in six games for the Steelers before winning the Tarsha Gale Cup with the side back in April.

  • NRLW/state affiliate: Dragons/Illawarra Steelers
  • School: Illawarra Sports High School
  • The speedy winger is rising the grades at the Dragons and is one of 10 players from the Steelers Tarsha Gale Cup winning side.

  • NRLW/state affiliate: Illawarra Steelers/Dragons
  • Junior Club/School: St Mary Star of The Sea
  • A star of the schoolgirls competition, the Shellharbour Stingrays product rekindles her successful halves partnership with Steelers teammate, Kasey Reh.

Kasey Reh​

  • NRLW/state affiliate: Illawarra Steelers/Dragons
  • Junior Club/School: Figtree High School
  • The exciting halfback was named player of the series after guiding the Steelers as captain to the Tarsha Gale Cup premiership. She has recently signed a three-year deal with the Dragons, and is the niece of former NRL stars Brett and Glenn Stewart.

  • Junior Club: Shellharbour Stingrays
  • A crafty young dummy half from the Illawarra who joins her Steelers teammates in the state side after winning the Tarsha Gale Cup premiership.

Hope Millard​

  • Junior Club: Corrimal Cougars
  • It’s been a big few months for the daughter of former NRL player Shane Millard, who earns her NSW under-19s jersey after winning the under-19s state comp.

Charlotte Basham​

  • NRLW/state affiliate: Illawarra Steelers/Dragons
  • Junior Club/School: Corrimal Cougars/Illawarra Sports High School
  • The former Australian schoolgirls forward made her NRLW debut at 18 last year and is on track for more game time in 2024.

Ella Koster​

  • NRLW/state affiliate: Illawarra Steelers/Dragons
  • Junior Club: Shellharbour Stingrays
  • The talented 18-year-old was the youngest player to represent the Waratahs in the Super W competition back in 2022 at the age of 16. She made her NRLW debut with the Dragons in 2023 less than a week after turning 18.

Bronte Wilson​

  • NRLW/state affiliate: Illawarra Steelers/Dragons
  • Junior Club: Stringrays of Shellharbour
  • The 17-year-old Dragons star is the latest player to be granted an exemption to play NRLW before the age of 18, following in the footsteps from Knights halfback Jesse Southwell.

Sienna Yeo​

  • NRLW affiliate: Illawarra Steelers/Dragons
  • Junior Club: Corrimal Cougars
  • A cousin of NSW Blues forward Isaah Yeo, the Steelers lock has overcome injuries in recent seasons and has landed back on track with a Tarsha Gale Cup premiership.

One thing we can take out of the U19s NRLW Origin game, if Dragons can keep most or all of half the NSW Origin team, the future will be bright for the NRLW team.

NRLW starts this weekend. St George Illawarra vs Gold Coast at WIN this Sunday. Gold Coast apparently have a very formidable team while the Dragons have a good, young team probably still a year or two away.

Surprised Jamilee Bright is in the 17, we look light in the forwards and she isn't a big girl
Will be interesting to see how they perform on the weekend and how they use Kasey Reh, looks like she may spend time at hooker or in the halves with Zali going into hooker, where she played a bit last year..

ST GEORGE ILLAWARRA DRAGONS​

Star: Teagan Berry
Coached by Jamie Soward, the Dragons’ NRLW year kicks off with a tough test against the Gold Coast Titans in Wollongong, giving the St George-Illawarra side an early challenge against one of the title favourites. Playing against her former club, new recruit Steph Hancock will be a welcome boost.
Berry will of course be a popular pick for the Dragons best but I'm going with Bronte Wilson who is just a great athlete!
