Pathways Players

Not even close, we need to spend a lot more money on pathways and get more staff in and make pathways a priority.

We are way underfunded and understaffed.
Mug Fan Mug Fan Wow, to the uninitiated it appeared on face value we were making the right moves in the right places. Im sad to hear from you that what is being painted is not what it is actually.

Does the money that was being spent on our newly minted COE have anything to do with money not being available?

What are the main reason in your professional opinion that pathways are understaffed and underfunded?

As Penrith have shown you have to invest in your pathways to grow and strengthen your club.

Roosters a chance more likely Bears for Asher.
I don't thnk it will be either of those for Jasais
So who will the club prioritise in the hooking department then? undecided on Jasais tbh, he could be good but hasnt played for a year now so could just dwindle into the ether and not be anything... I trust Anderson to do the right job/make the right decision

I think its human nature that we will try to convince ourselves that Ah Kee may be over-rated.. but I dont think he is.. I think hes a young Thursten type... however the physical side is only 1 part of the equation with a players success.. and I suppose no player is a guarantee of having the discipline or injury resilience to make it all the way... and we would need multiple contract extensions to get him to first grade.. which we are struggling with big time with our other young gun imports...

But Jasais (and Asher) were the only young 6 or 7 coming thru though in that U17 age group (that I know of) at either club (even U19's now that Marley is gone), so they leave a big hole for us to fill.. im still seeing Walker as an outside back.. Id rly like him to start playing fullback next year and honing that skillset.. I think he is the prototype body and skillset for it.. and esp if Burto is potentially coming thru @ctr or wing anyway.. there isnt even overlap at all anymore... we need gun outside backs pushing up...

As for hooker I think Coehlo is the one now.. definitely worth investing into with his huge boot.. only thing is I really like what Chase beings off the bench also.. hes a bit more like Haele Finau, plays whats in front of him.. very fast & creative.. but so far its been shorter stints when Coehlo is off the field.

Latu leaving is one of the 2 moments that really haunted me (Bostock the other), it rly felt like a moment we were letting our own AFB/LeoThompson level player leave the building before he even got started... still haunts me today but thankfully injuries have slowed his progress and I havent had to watch him play yet.. the day I see him doing well for the Dogs in 1st grade will break me tho... tbh I hope somehow he goes to another club instead, anyone but the dogs.
