Isn't it young Reed? 5/8#21 scores. Dont have him listed? Showed some toe. Lawson also showed some sevens skill then.

I'm not sure Lawson can play until later in the seasonLawson, Finau starting wings. But where do we put Sloan, too classy for Ressies
Of the 3 wingers used:Great one on one stop by Lawson. Loving his game.
Why?I'm not sure Lawson can play until later in the season
Then we have CT and Sloan so plenty of depth in the positionOf the 3 wingers used:

Rava. off the page. thats how bad he was.Finau
Lawson
Feagai
I was going to say Finau and Lawson equal first. Forgot about Feagai and unless there are several injuries, I think Flanno should forget about picking Rava or Feagai in the NRL.Finau
Lawson
Feagai
Rava.
LPT has impressive stamina for someone his size. Not much to take from the game
Our starting 13 looked good against a weaker Roosters side.
Young players looked solid Lawson looks the goods.
We'll know a lot more next week
Good hit out for first time with the top boys. Never looked overawed, never stopped tackling and did a few powerful carries too. Knee not strapped either. Hope he gets a run too in Charity Shield. Latu and Halangahu not many mins or was I doing too much typing. Will check em more closely on the replay.LPT has impressive stamina for someone his size.
Certainly will but I did note our defensive line speed has improved markedlyNot much to take from the game

Good summary, I’ll be gutted if Latu doesn’t re-sign. He’s just so obviously a first grader in waiting.A lot of that game was nsw cup standard, though tbf we still beat em well... lot of errors though.. like almost every set.. every time we tried to push the ball.... and thankfully they didnt punish us... but still a solid win, great for comradery.. and really we didnt let any points in... bar Ravalawa...
Player Notes that stood out to me:
- Gutho - loving having this man.. proper leader out there.. seeing him have chats with multiple players in the breaks in play... competitor.. were probably going to need him in attack too to run off Kyle.. someone with a bit more pace.
- SFinau - I kept saying he was my 1st winger chosen, don't know how he dropped down the hierarchy.. I suspect they are training him as a ctr reserve, hes played there in cup last year and swapped with Holmes tonight.. but I think id much prefer him as a winger to start with.. less pressure to do silly things like that bat on attempt... keep it simple.. let him run hard and fast.
- Kyle - Try and an assist was an impressive start.. felt like most good sides werent falling for his dummies late last year, but the fact that hes a threat is the main thing.. the defence has to hold.. he is slow.. but hes steady.. and great urgency.. I think he and Gutho will form a left-side partnership.
- TCouch - Bigger than last year and I reckon by next year he will be optimum weight.. but he looked good.. hoping his fitness, energy and young legs will make up for his lack of size.. good skill, can offload, can tackle.. did well.. that haircut tho.. geez.
- Cook - He was the highlight of the night for me.. seeing him scheme out of marker was such a breath of fresh air.. can run left and pass right and should rly help with out small pack.. gonna have to move the defence around and not let them gang up on a telegraphed ball carrier.
- Halangahu - Didn't get a chance to see anything tonight, he will have to do it from Flegg or Cup.. gotta see if he can still run thru or over bigger bodies... hes also young though im aware.
- Stewart - Interesting how eager he was to get into hooker.. must have been training there surely.. big body and he had a fair night.. its just that u need to compare him to Tonga or Latu in terms of his position in 1st grade... looking forward to seeing him play cup.
- Reed - Threw me cause im like thats certainly not LKT lol.. and he had played yesterday so assumed no way its him.. had a rly good debut tbf in pretty much a nsw cup game.. remembering he hasnt even played flegg before.. u can see how much sharper he is than Glover.. im glad he got a run cause he was up against Rodwell tonight who same age has been given far more opportunity to move up the grades.. but im glad Kade is going to get a chance to really lead a strong SG Ball team this year... a little bit more time I think will really help his development.
- Tonga - Was strong without being outstanding.. had good minutes I thought.. I think some of the impact in tackles surprised him.. normally hes 10-20kg heavier than his opponents.
- Ravalawa - Watching him leave his winger an easy run twice.. made me so angry.. reminded me of the parra game last year where he single-handledly lost our chance at finals before we had even warmed into the game.. i dont want him anywhere near NSW Cup or anywhere..
- Lawson - Some touches of class u can see in him.. tough bugger got belted.. probably needs to add a small jump to his catches.. its such a dumb rule at times.. u put a tiny jump in at the last moment.. and u get a penalty if anyone touches u.. maybe a month or so in cup.. great potential.. but Finau and perhaps CT are in front.. not sure on Sloan on the wing yet, havent seen him play since he was a junior.
- BRumble - Maybe he was nervous tonight, seemed to have half a second delay in his response to what was in front of him.. hes a tall boy and in full flight hes deadly, but he didnt get a chance to do that tonight, he probably wont get it too often in 1st grade... the pass was good though.. was a good hit out for him.. but im not 100% yet if he can make the jump from a Flegg gun to a 1st grader... he will get plenty of cup games this year I suspect.. once we get injuries... then we can see how hes faring.
- Latu - He was the one I was watching because I know our window to extend him is closing.. either its not enough money or he wants the open market.. hes a funny cat doesnt show much emotion, didnt see him getting with the lads after the game, did see him with a trainer and then carrying I assume his daughter off to visit family perhaps... as a player I thought he was great though.. mostly just in defence.. hits hard and doesnt get pushed back.. didnt miss any tackles I saw.. only got I think 1 hitup.. I think he could play bench right now tbh.. certainly mid-season.. I reckon he might even get there before Tonga.. but only if hes extending.. otherwise id rather put development into others.
I was disappointed by Leilua also. He looks like he's carrying a lot of excess weight.Good summary, I’ll be gutted if Latu doesn’t re-sign. He’s just so obviously a first grader in waiting.
Glover,Leilua and Ravalawa poor but everyone else pretty good. Buchanan and Halangahu definitely need another year to develop before playing NRL IMO.
Egan and Stewart were surprisingly very good, and the Couchman bro’s just both have to be in the 17 don’t they? Quality players the pair of em
Agree.. the more I see Latu the more I realise he might be the one.. hes not as tall or heavy as Tonga, but Tongas frame can be a liability too.. hes slower to get up, slower to turn... Latu seems like he can handle the big boys just fine already and he could be in SG Ball still.. lets hope hey..Good summary, I’ll be gutted if Latu doesn’t re-sign. I think we need 2 props one to replace FMolo and another to come into the squad, Guler was good, BUT can he go 26 rounds leading us on his own? Lawrie is unknown quality for 2025 will be important for him to get back into form, i thought he would develop into our leading prop, hopefully this year is the year..Agree.. the more I see Latu the more I realise he might be the one.. hes not as tall or heavy as Tonga, but Tongas frame can be a liability too.. hes slower to get up, slower to turn... Agree with the rest of that.. the Couchmans are the only way we can have a good year.. after missing all our big name middle targets.. plus Frank likely gone.. plus Seles constant injuries.. JDB has to have another good year and the Couchmans HAVE to be first grade quality this year or we r toast.. thank god for Guler too.. not a superstar but just need some blokes to do their job in the middle to give us a chance in games.
