I reckon he has the perfect game for an edgie. Big, powerful, fast and skilfull. Not sure yet of his stamina to play full mins. Then again ditto with the other pair. Latu is an exciting player to watch.

You might be right. But also has the perfect game for a lock. I think he's better as a lock but could play on the edge. Couchmans too. Could play on an edge but better in the middle.

In his first few games in first grade he was also very good. Then I think Griffin tried to turn him into a ball player to compliment Hunt's running game. Ever since he was very poor. And his defenceJunior Amone’s 2021 SG ball season
I thought the team was better with Sullivan at 5/8.

Ah kee again very good yesterday, the ball playing for St George’s first try 
He looks like LKT but a much better athlete and imposes himself on the game even if his team is struggling.
Assume it was Kyle Stanley who brought him over from Penrith, what a great get

Literally carrying the teams attack on his back.. never seen anything like it.. I remember LKT in U19's was lethal.. outside of Reed, given the ball in space to get some speed up, then with his footwork he was very hard to stop, either he would go through himself... or he would get it to a 2nd rower or Buchanan... that combination was wonderful.Ah Kee equal 1st despite playing for the team ranked 14th
But Ah Kee, is almost doing the roll of the 6 and 7.. just give me the ball in any situation.. and he has all the tricks in the book... I cant be sure its gonna keep working at higher grades.. and he might slow down as he gets older.. but im more confident in him than LKT, because I think Jasais has more acceleration and is more elusive from a standing start.. ive noticed LKT doesnt get the time and space he used too get in junior footy.. also think Ah Kee has a better range of passing on top.. but hes years behind LKT in development still.
I get myself a bit worked up about good juniors lol.. need patience... but not sure whether the kid could be accelerated at all.. see how he goes in a higher grade.. I dunno if Flegg is an option at the end of the HM season.. that or maybe an U19 comp.. like I think hes too good for his age-group.

I agree with all of that, he’s definitely got more to his game than LKT, legit looks like Latu Fainu when manly won the Harold Matt’s 4 years ago.
Blue chip talent that should be signed ASAP.
He’s way too good for Matt’s, he could be the SG ball half for half of the teams in that division despite being 2 years young.
At least with the signing of Atkinson it gives him 3-4 years to develop still before being first grade ready rather than if he was LKT’s age and just outright isn’t good enough to play NRL yet.
For all we know Ah kee could be Galvin like and first grade ready at 18/19

That Dragons U19s side is struggling hard, it would be a hard team to be promoted into this season, feel for CST also.. so I dunno whether that would help or hinder him.. would be a challenge though.... but even if they dont, can he go to 21s at end of season? Partner Reed, I mean there isnt an obvious 6 for that grade with Hammoud injured.. that team is struggling also.. but itll look very different once the Steelers SG Ball side moves up.. post finals.
I dunno how else to challenge him, have to do something with him for the rest of the year, that HM side is unlikely to play finals either, even though they have looked decent for the most part.
I reckon Flanno would not be a fan of promoting players early.. the longer they can stay out of the limelight... the better they can develop longterm.. but sometimes they are special, and I think a 6 (aslong as he can tackle) is far less responsibility than a 7 like Reed would have... I think he might be ok.. but he would also cop some big hits..

He’ll be playing for Pats Blacktown in schoolboys cup once Harold Matt’s is over I’d assume.
I think they’ll take their time with him. Halves and forwards you have to be patient with generally.
I was thinking about Creighton Meafou and him being signed longer term, there may be a problem if Rugby Australia/Waratahs really like him and want to sign him. Maybe the faith shown in his brother Daniel and keeping them together will help retain Creighton?

Creighton is an interesting one... his first game this year was a blinder.. but since then hasnt been as involved.. he has a tonne of talent though and im confident in him.. but im not sure what his pathway is going to be.. I am hoping that being brothers they will both be locked in..
However.. we havent signed Daniel yet.. I think we pushed it off due to his longterm injury... but hes the same age as many of the other guys we have locked up already.. feel like the steelers side we are a bit more willing to risk taking our time as they are less likely to leave.. but if Daniel stays healthy.. he has to be signed up you would think.. like hes the same age as Latu, Weatherall and older than Halangahu is he not?

I think they’ll probably want to see Daniel do well in flegg before making a decision on his future for next year.
Halangahu,Latu,Daniel Meafou,Stanley Trail, Buchanan and Reed are all turning 19 this year so it’s a fair amount of talent for one age group
Weatherall and Mason Phillips turning 18 this year IIRC
It’s a good point you make about the Illawarra boys being easier to retain. It’s much easier for the boys living in Sydney to sign with one of the other Sydney clubs due to opportunity/money etc.
Much easier to stay in the comfort zone of where you’ve grown up in Wollongong/Shellharbour etc with all the boys they play footy with.
It’s a bit like kids from Canberra being easy to retain for the Raiders
