A few interesting tid bits from my Sunday morning read. Jaydn S'ua and Blake Lawrie are apparently not happy chappies with us failing to make the finals. There are others but not named. Betting our classy but frustrated Zac Lomax is one. Hearing he and Lawrie are good mates.

Pressure is building on the coach.

Any chance we had of picking up Cameron Ciraldo was tiny at best as when the unamed exec official called to sound him out as our next coach he had already made up his mind to join the Dogs. Another case of hanging onto a dead horse in Griffin at the expense of someone better. So this 'old school coach' (whatever that means) has now overseen consecutive years of finals failure, (Mary never sunk that low. Is that correct?) yet his final year is safe. Why when we have Flanno and a couple of other coaches we could hire. One being Albert's boy.

Just didn't get the love for Woods even at his prime , just my opinion always thought he was and still is overrated .....
Woods biggest asset in his prime was his ability to stay on his feet and twist in the tackle enough for his offload. He was never considered a break the line cleanly type of prop. His best days are well and truly behind him

Why is Andrew McCulloghs future and salary not being disclosed. In our 'Locked In' players list there is no sign of him nor is there when the media continues harping on about player salaries. Why is our Front Office so silent about this bloke. Is he immune to the same scrutiny as every other player.

..and still does it. Second phase play is vital in a footy team. Reason I rate his time with us. He'd be an excellent mentor to our young props with this ability if he decides to see out his final year with us..
Aren't JDB, Molo, Lawrie enough to mentor young props in the squad?

This bloke aint. Not sure how he warranted a three year deal. I was referring to Woods' ability to offload. Lawrie does not, JDB occasionally but not in the fashion of Woods.
Woods used to offload a lot. JDB I think has been given directions to pass before the line or make metres, not so much offload.

I know it was against poor opposition but Molo had several good offloads before he was sent last week.

Keeping the ball alive wins footy matches. Take a squiz at old Kangaroo v Poms matches. The one constant in all our wins was our innate ability to create second phase play. To never die with the ball. Our wonderful 'Roos were past masters at that skill. So were our golden era Dragons.

JBD taking the role of second or even first receiver is one of his many skills. Even tho he has been removed from lock he still does it when prop as he has ingrained it into his play book over many years. It does not seem to inhibit the main role of a prop as he is running the best part of 100m every match and popping the odd offload.

Nothing the NRL, corrupt police, judicial system, corrupt rep selectors or this coach has been able to ruin JDBs game.

Remember when McGregor picked JDB at halfback?

Against the at the time high-flying Broncos. Halfback isn't his position but he didn't embarrass himself. Unlike some of his teammates.
If he wasn't loath to move Hunt from his favourite position, Griffin would've tried that by now.

Was that for only the one game. Dont recall it. But given his ball skills I'm not surprised he made a decent fist of it. JDB had to've been the biggest bloke ever to play half I'd imagine.

Doubt it.
Yeh given we offloaded Robson when we signed McIness because he wanted to play hooker and Robson did not want to play lock. We could have had both. Not Mary or R & Rs best call. If we are looking at Robson we will find out on Nov1. Be better than Jacob Liddle from the Tigers Ressies.

Robson is contracted until the end of the 2023 season
