Prefer him or Crighton? Sua couldn't make the QLD side.In my view a massive loss

Most probably CrightonPrefer him or Crighton? Sua couldn't make the QLD side.
Apparently he's still unsigned. NRL won't sign off on his contract due to what they believe is salary cap rorting. Most probably Crighton
Who'd a thunk it from the Rorters!!??Apparently he's still unsigned. NRL won't sign off on his contract due to what they believe is salary cap rorting.
I was Dean Young's No.1 fan but look at the Dragons record with ex players as coach. Don't want Dean Young as coach. This may be a test of our club loyalty, if that exists any more. Money seems to have taken over. Local juniors such as Lomax, Lawrie and others need to think before they leap. Will Griffin be around for much longer.. word is he is being given max 10 games next season to determine whether he stays or his booted. That is not too long to wait for a new coach.. either Flanagan or Dean Young, not heard of any other serious contenders. With a new coach there may well be a change in culture and we may be able to lure a couple of top shelf players.
This will take seasons to achieve my 2025 prediction is looking goodThis may be a test of our club loyalty, if that exists any more. Money seems to have taken over. Local juniors such as Lawrie, good mate Lomax and others need to think before they leap. Su'A is on way ore than 120K.$120000 smackeroos we will save. $75000 Sims. What were Kerr and McGuire on? Have to be a minimum 450K. Prob only V'landys knows how much we save if Macca retires. Guessing around $500K. There are sundry others on lower wages , say $200/300K each. How the hell is the salary cap cupboard bare. Add squillions if Hunt heads back to Qld. Even if he doesn't surely there is sufficient in the kitty for a couple of top gun forwards and to upgrade some of our best juniors..
Biggest problem with Dean Young is if he fails, it'll still take a decade to sack him.I was Dean Young's No.1 fan but look at the Dragons record with ex players as coach. Don't want Dean Young as coach.
I can see how this whole saga will play out. Hunt will accept the extra two years as a result Griffin will be kept and then extended as the two are joined at the hip. Then likely we will lose Sullivan if not two of the 'three amigos'. Perhaps all three. They will import a has been/reject hooker which will see one or two of our promising hookers depart for greener pastures. Our only chance for a decent coach Shane Flanagan will think he is not wanted and also head off. In steps Dean Young at the behest of his old man to be Griffin's assistant. All are happy , except us fans. I can see our most vocal camping outside the Taj Mahal with placards decrying the state of things.. ala the Doust years.
I hope to hell I just wrote a whole lot of fantasy.
I still can't see any official word about Su'a wanting out let alone being granted a release. Are you sure it's not just a rumour? He was contracted to us until the end of 2024 for 3 seasons he was going to collect $1.8m. No it's got very little to do with money. It has more to do with his role within the club and team. I was reliably informed that there was a disagreement between himself and Griffin and as a result he was going to seek a release, there will be others. I heard Lawrie as well. Time will tell.
I personally don't know I was reacting to another post, hope it's a furphyI still can't see any official word about Su'a wanting out let alone being granted a release. Are you sure it's not just a rumour?
I know you rate him as a player as I do as well. I'm just not convinced we are getting value for money. Apparently he is in the top 50 highest paid players in the competition.I personally don't know I was reacting to another post, hope it's a furphy
It's a question of who replaces him if he leaves.I know you rate him as a player as I do as well. I'm just not convinced we are getting value for money. Apparently he is in the top 50 highest paid players in the competition.
I don't hope he leaves but if he does and Redcliff are picking up 100% of his salary, I wouldn't be especially concerned.
It is but it doesn't change the value for money he is providing no matter who replaces him. It's a question of who replaces him if he leaves.
I reduced his first season payout from his overall three year salary of $1.8m.Su'A is on way ore than 120K.
Then perhaps he has had a change of mind in the knowledge that his 'good mate' Griffin is on his last legs. There is also this doing the rounds. S'ua left the Rabbits because of Bennett. Seems then that Bennet wants S'ua, yet the player does not want Bennett.still can't see any official word about Su'a wanting out let alone being granted a release.
I've not read or heard anything either. Bennetts public relations team working overtime.I still can't see any official word about Su'a wanting out let alone being granted a release. Are you sure it's not just a rumour?
There is simply no way Macca can go around in first grade again. Also hearing the snail will play out his last season. And guess what we have allbut secured Tigers reject Jacob Liddle for 2024. I just chundered my breakfast. Goes from bad to worse.
