Officially gone Gosiewski, Fa’amusili, Reuben. No idea if we have sold them or delisted them. Reckon the three were never given a decent chance in Firsts to impress or not. They are leaving us so does that mean Burns and Ford are staying. Ford yes, Burns no. Woodsy and Burgess will likely see out their final years. If big George was able to get back to full fitness, we wont need that enforcer in our pack..

I think big George's time in first grade has come and gone. Hope I'm wrong.

Ford is worth keeping. He wouldn't cost much.

This may be a clear pointer as to why our club is in its present mess and rivals such as Cronulla and Penrith are not. Unlike them, we failed to hang onto our best local juniors from the last two seasons of the Under 20s in which we made the prelim. final. What a team it was, including Zac Lomax, Reece Robson, Blake Lawrie, Luciano Leilua, Reuben Garrick, Jai Field, Jason Saab, Patrick Herbert, Izaac Thompson, Matt Dufty. As you all know out of that playing group we only kept Dufty, Lawrie and Lomax. The remainder we rather stupidly let go to have success at other clubs here and in England.

Let's not lose sight of the fact McGregor was even worse. Robson and Leilua for example were let go by McGregor.

Not at all. Most of the group were lost on Mary's watch. A good few of them were St George juniors too whereas Mary was a probably a Steelers junior. Certainly played for them before the merger. Is there still a bitter rivalry simmering under the surface between our two clubs I wonder.

Prop Addin Fonua- Blake will be on the market come Nov 1. From memory he played a season in U20s with us and maybe one in Firsts. He may have even been in the team from my previous post. Another good player we let go. We can't afford Haas or Fifita but we may be able to snare Fonua-Blake and Jordan McLean to add some oomph to our engine room.
I think AFB was captain of the U20s. He was being readied for first grade at the Dragons until he was arrested and plead guilty to beating his GG.

McClean, Lodge and Crighton still off contract for next year. Surely the Dragons have to make a play for at least one of them.

McClean is another veteran. I think after this year, the club is justifiably not interested in veteran props. Or still more veteran props. Burgess and Woods are still contracted next year.

On form Lodge is a must but the rumours about him being a complete ******* and bad for team culture seem to be true.

Crighton is a good player. If Su'a in fact wants to go to Redcliff, he'd be a great buy. Otherwise, the club is really looking for front rowers, not second rowers.

Lodge is a risk. Need to take a few risks if next year, and according to Jo Dragon, the year after aren't write-offs.

Looks like the rumour about the wooden spooners reject hooker being signed is true.

God have mercy on the idiots at St George Illawarra Dragons and their beleaguered supporters....

On a brighter note, it probably means Macca is definitely retiring.

I like your optimism. Replacing one plodder with another or having 2 plodders on the books. Both possibilities are consistent with Hooks retainment and retention strategy.

Liddle is probably on a one year contract with an option if we dont snare Robson. But we have to question why the need to even look outside. Back our own young hookers. Muhleisen, a little older and experienced than the other pair, should have first crack at our top grade.

Surely this is a must so why are they signing Liddle???? I can't understand it.

I love Fanua-Blake he avg 152m per game this season exactly what we need if we could also snare McLean I would be able to reassess my 23/24 outlook. We are definitely on the same page in regards to this issue

I can now see why you have big wraps on Sam Hooper. He had a blinder from dummy half yesterday. He along with Treigh Stewart jointly engineered the comeback to keep us in the contest.
Was also very impressed with Couchman. A real JDB-like performance.
