Unless Sloan can become a 7. He has the ball skills. Jerome Hughes was an unwanted fullback before he went to Melbourne. And our own Benny Hornby did just fine there as well. His defence is the only issue and it's a big issue.

Kyle isn't becoming something he isn't now as a player. He's 26. What you saw this year is what you've got. For better or worse. I thought he was ok. With a strong pack and fast backs he might go well but fast backs isn't something Dragons are going to have for a while.

I was just looking at who would be returning to training.. we have Luciano, FMolo & JDB still away on rep duty still (cant believe the season is still going).. thats a january return probably.

Cook played October 13, so hes had a month off already, but I have a feeling Cook and Gutho are going to want to be back earlier than the minimum.. there is a lot to learn and absorb and get to know the boys..

Plus Suli who is out of tomorrow's game, hopefully it's not injury related.

Playing games is probably better for conditioning than any training session. I don't know it's true, just a guess.

If Dogs have to pay out JAC, which is likely, I don't like their chances. But seriously, we are following the same route as the Dogs. Strengthening the squad all over except in the halves.

Flanno moved quickly when Terral May became available but he is up against super poacher Gus Gould. May has mongrel, a big motor and an offload, precisely the engine room enforcer we need. Was terrific for the Chooks last year by all reports. Stats back up that. But does he have the attitude, that is questionable.

Not only your opinion mate, some big noise building on him. Cook has been in the ear of Flanno telling him to bring him here. A no brainer as he is available and Croft aint. Flanno can line up the former Bronco for '26 as Ilias' partner. I can live with that future halves combo.

Apart from Holmes, the backline is so slow. I hope JAC can get 2 years. If Gutho can get 3 years, why would the club not want to give JAC 3 years? He is younger and has had a way better career. As in a lot of Origins, selection for Aus, GF wins.
