For sure he has excuses. I don't expect much next year. If we can go as well as this year, I think it'll be ok. Because we don't have a halfback. But if the Couchmans, LPT, LKT, Halangahu, Finau, Latu all get enough time and are set up to be permanently in the 17 from 2026, I think it'll be ok. Couchman's are surely going to be in the 17 permanently next season.
Either Croft or Ilias. Both better than Hunt. That guy is now a memory, albeit a bad one.

Finau is better but like those 2, for a winger he isn't very fast. Those 2 are very slow wingers. I don't know why Flanno won't give them both a chance in the forwards. Finau isn't slow but seems not very fast for a winger.
With one of Croft/ Ilias at half, a big prop enforcer together with our other buys, the emergence of Finau, Loko Jr/Latu, I am predicting a finals spot.
Croft played all his NRL footy at half, so has Ilias.
Both were dropped and moved on. Croft has since excelled at 5/8. Illias hasn't has the chance yet but has the qualities of a 5/8.

Grew up playing half reason Dragons want him as first choice half but we cant buy him before '26 and BOD want the next half for '25. So it is Ilias 1/2 this year with Croft 5/8 next year. But Flanno wont want that as it sidelines his son, in which case BOD shud step in and tell him there is no room for Kyle after this season.

Bellamy didn't rate him as a half. Seibold rated him until he dropped him. Walters moved him on. Has since excelled at 5/8.
This may worry Flanno as he will look on Ilias as a rookie when instead he wants a seasoned half. Nevertheless, evidently our recruiting team met last week with Ilias' manager, Braith Anasta so he is well and truly on our radar.

I predicted aboit a week ago the halfback hunt is a ruse. Flanno wants Kyle to be 1/2. Not saying it's good or bad. Kyle had better play well. Repay the faith his old man has in him.
He is not in my view a game manager or play maker. If I know this I'm fairly certain dad does as well. Time will tell
