I think Flanno has been super-tight again rly trying to squeeze every deal which is why Saifiti seems like maybe it didnt happen despite the medical.. and the way hes talking on SEN yesterday.... it seems like we are competing with other clubs now that stefano is done.. so i think we get whichever Prop we get basically.. he will go after all of them.

Maybe Flanno isn't too fussed about signing a prop. Aren't Hamish Stewart, Finau Latu, Loko Pasifiki Tonga all middle forwards?

He's saying hes a bit stuck until he can offload some players.
Spells that those that have not been offered extensions, Eisenhuth, BMM etc, are not wanted elsewhere. Delist them and sign Holmes now and one of RCG pr NAS with our supposed $4.5m war chest that was to bring some quality to the club yet struggles to bring us even players with their best behind them.

So where is this so called $4.5m war chest we were supposed to have to bring some quality to the club? Now it cant even buy mid tier players. Guys like Frank Molo and Rava shud not have been extended.
I couldn't understand why Frank Molo was offered an extension. Must have been on reduced money. He was going pretty good at the start of the year but not fired a shot since.

Yah but Stewart isnt standing out in NSW Cup yet.. hes young but im not positive on him yet.... Tonga is looking good in his first few games and he might get a debut late in the year (hes a sure thing), and Latu is still in Flegg... Flanno is not playing though.. he wants to do damage in finals next year.. he wants experienced forwards to improve on 2024.

The question is probably more can he move on a couple like Fifita & Lawrie, I was looking at the props playing reserve grade next year... and we have too many of them.. we kind of have to prioritise the ones we are really confident in..

RCG wore a Kangaroo jumper. Has more fire in the belly, superior season stats, while a new club will revitalize him. Plus, as a bonus he can be a mentor to our emerging forwards. I rest my case your worship.
Didn't Saifiti also play for Aus? I think RCG just runs hard but Saifiti is more skillful. So in theory, RCG would decline sooner than Saifiti and he is older.

Webb apparently sent an email out this arvo confirming the squad status:
==========================================================
We still have two spots available on the roster for 2025 and Shane, along with the recruitment team, will ensure that they are filled with players who will complement our current squad.

Our Dragons Pathways will deliver four players into our Top 30 in 2025: Hamish Stewart, Finau Latu, Loko Pasifiki Tonga and Dylan Egan. We are excited to see their future contributions to our club.
==========================================================

They must have extended someone, possibly its Max.. I thought they might have waited a bit longer to see who Lomaxes replacement is first.. assume whoever it is will be announced soon.

I would say you are not counting Russell.

Just read the Email good to see the COE has final approval.
Can't believe it been held up this long over 3 tin sheds that are about 70 years old.
New plans will see the fields offsetScreenshot_20240708_235507_Chrome.jpg

The COE has been long overdue.. this is a huge moment.. now we can atleast show our future signings some pictures and talk about it how we will train..

Webb mentioned they have been working with the builder for the last few months, so it seems like they havent been just sitting on their hands, that should help get things under way more quickly.

Is this how it's going to look? The area within the red line with the training field, COE itself at the end and the training field for lower grades with the area next to that free for some future development?

The vacant area is where the tin huts are and can't be moved or built around.
The original DA had main field there and huts moved to behind parking lot.

Get Val coach and a big bopper bookend with some skill, remove the dead wood and we shud at least be a chance for finals next year.
You are aiming low. Without Zac and with Hunt a year older but I think there are some really good young players coming through and making the finals is an absolute minimum for next year. Though it depends on how well those young blokes actually go in first grade.

Hope we can get 1 of NAS/RCG/Saifiti & 2 outside backs. Val & another good quality 1st grader would be awesome. We really need an alpha middle but none of the market, maybe NAS can become one?
