Everyone knows I believe in Blocka, yes he had a poor season but had two of his best under Griffin. Is Flanagan the problem, over his letting his best mate Zac leave so easily and frankly ruthlessly. Did he not hit the gym and muscle up because he did not want to play in a side without Zac.

The Dragons are set for a cleanout following their disappointing exit from the finals race, with cult hero winger Mikaele Ravalawa already shopped around to rival clubs.
The Fijian flyer was the Dragons' pin-up boy last season, scoring a record equalling 20 tries - a remarkable feat in a team that struggled to score points all year.
But the 26-year-old Ravalawa has not been the same player in 2024, struggling with a knee injury and being dropped from the team mid-season.
Ravalawa has scored just three tries in 12 games in the NRL and was recently suspended for abusing a touch judge in the NSW Cup.
In the must win game against the Eels last weekend, the burly winger had a shocker.
An official from a rival club confirmed he had been offered Ravalawa - who has two years to run on his contract - for 2025.
"The Dragons are shopping him around but he is a winger on big money who is struggling for form," the official told Wide World of Sports.
"I don't fancy their chances of finding a buyer."
Several other Dragons are likely to be also moved on or given the option to explore the market in coming weeks.

If Dragons can't find a buyer, should tell him to eat a lot and spend plenty of time in the gym over the off season because he's gonna trial as a prop in the pre season.

I’ve actually always thought he might be a better backrower than winger with a bit of training. His tackle technique when he was consistently jamming blokes off the wing was spot on.

Seems like confirmation that Max wont be here next year.. perhaps the manly back mentioned is being chased instead..... im assuming we are the ones who made the decision not to sign him.. not the other way around.. cant be easy to leave your twin.
Players leaving this year will be honoured at Kogarah on Saturday (link), but I think its those whos contracts end in 2024.. no one we are trying to offload still.

I'm sorry he didn't rise to the heights we wished for an expected 4 or 5 years ago. They've both been much better this year but i agree with the club, not good enough for both to get an extension. Matt can count himself lucky.

With Max and Bird gone.. it has to be a Manly centre we would be chasing.. not a winger..
o Brad Parker is contracted for 2025 but looks like he is retiring (unconfirmed).. even took a goalkick in his last game.
o Jaxson Paulo is a winger who has played some ctr this season.. very much on the outer.. but signed for 2 more years
o Tommy Talau signed for 2025 only.. cant see them losing him though.
Paulo seems the logical one, went into some dirty manly forums.. they say hes a 1st grader.. its just that he doesnt seem to like the hard stuff like a guy 192cm and 101kg should do.. I dont know if hes played centre before though.. other than in nsw cup this year..

Paulo can play centre and if desperate can fill in at fullback for a game or two...
Manly have some good backs
Turbo, Hopoate, Koula/Talau, Garrick,Saab, one of them misses out if all fit, then below that you have Paulo, Faulalo, Vega.
Love to take Hopoate or Koula from the first lot and Paulo probably from the other lot.

Maybe just needs the right motivation. Manly have 3 on around 1 mil a year and a few others on very decent money. Including one who np longer plays for them. Must have cap issues.

The only thing stopping us being a competitive top 8 team in 25 is signing 1 at the very least big bodied bookend. I still firmly believe we will make the 8 next year but just making up the bottom end of the 8 as I predicted back in 2022. We deserve better than to wait 7 yrs to again play semi finals football just to make up the number.
