You misunderstood me and I agree in what you say but in saying that we just haven't had that actual connection and mutual respect between the recruitment managers and the players managers for many years now in my humble view. I'm hoping Anderson reputation will change that

What does this mean for Gutho?
Stewart, a fullback who is considered a star of the future, has had his path to consistent first grade blocked by Weekes, who is a contender for the Dally M Medal in 2025.

The Raiders are open to letting Stewart leave at the end of the season to chase a full-time first grade spot, with the Dragons circling the young gun.

Gutho has been one of our best but his legs certainly don't have the run metres in them they used to have and that is only going to get worse next year. I thought signing him to 3 years was a mistake at the time. I thought he should have gotten 2 with a club option for the 3rd.

Anyway, everything might work out for the better if he can turn himself into a makeshift halfback for the next two years with Kade Reed slowly taking over with Gutho finally moving to the bench as a utility in the last half of his last year. In a perfect world that would happen but I know there is still a lot of hopeful thinking but none of it is unrealistic.

Then what was Atkinson sighed for? DA is surely going to put an end to this scatter gun approach to recruitment ASAP. It might take a year before he can go after the right players in the right positions. He might have to recruit a young fullback like this one even with Gutho and Anderson signed but light at the end of the tunnel.

If Gutho is on the 8 or 900k which has widely been reported.... FFS I give up.

Braden Hamlin-Uele has been told by the Shonkies he's free to look around. I don't watch any of their games except for when they play us and in those games, I thought he was pretty good. jodragon40 jodragon40's fabled big-bodied prop. But only if we can move on 2 of Lawrie, Sele, Gular. Don't re-sign Klemmer and FIfita. JDB gone. The front row clean out sorely needed. Braden Hamlin-Uele, Couchman x 2, Stewart, maybe Liu and Cook seems like a pretty decent middle forward rotation. Though would be better if it included JDB.:mad:

Chevy Stewart wouldnt be ready surely for 1st grade week to week.. They have that other young gun fullback already though.. Ison is his name.. injured this year.. and Dykes who might have signed somewhere else actually.. and Hiroti who maybe they r letting go.
