Well here we go, we need this one is an understatement, the Warriors wont be easy beats and they will have some fair dinkum support at WIN, I will be there cheering them on. I think they need to prove something after last week, I hope LPT has a great debut and the rest of the pack just put in, an 80 min performance would be great to see. If Sloan is playing on DWZ then his defence had better shape up or we'll be calling for his head again, and surely this would be his last chance with Lawson waiting to get a shot. If we dont win this one we will be 3 and 6 having already had a bye, we will plummet us to just about the bottom of the table as other teams below have not had a bye yet and are on the same points. In my opinion we lose this one and we will be regarded as a genuine bottom 4 side, if not bottom 2 near the halfway mark. Lots of pressure on this week, if we handle it and win it might just kick start the season again, no predictions , just go the Dragons, do the faithful proud !!!

Can we win this ...... Yes as long as most things go our way ........ 6 again to many we will fall , to many penalties against , we will fall ........ They just can't defend anything that goes against us ........ Yep we can win this if most things go our way ........

too true, the very idea that we look forward to players missing rather than wanting to meet teams at full strength, ahh the conditioning and mindset of the Dragons fan over the last 15 years,,,,oh how the mighty have fallen.

I feel big improvements are just around the corner.
  • If Pasifiki Tonga plays well tomorrow, we have our big prop.
  • LKT showed we have a decent 5/8.
  • IMO Ilias showed in reserve grade we have a decent halfback even before Reed comes into the picture. Which could be as early as next year.
  • A few good outside backs in the lower grades making waves.
It's looking to me that from round 1 next year, there is everything a good coach needs for a successful team.

Some problems too.
  • Flanno has made it pretty obvious he won't drop Kyle. Someone needs to force him. Tell him it's either him or Kyle. The club isn't Flanno's personal play thing🤬!
  • He needs to admit signing Cook was a mistake. Liddle should be starting and only coming off when he needs a rest.
  • He has to stop playing favourites. I'm thinking of Sione Finau. Last game wasn't even Sloan's worst defensive effort. I remember the Parra game, they were making breaks down Sloan's side every set. It was doing my head in🤯! But it's Finau who is dropped after one game when his defence wasn't even as bad as Sloan's normally is. If not favouritism, can someone tell me what is going on with that?
  • This one won't be popular. I know Gutherson has been playing well. He's a good player. But he's always been on the slow side for a fullback. In the twilight of his career, it's set to become an issue.

Gutho turns slower than the titanic right now, imagine him in his final year of his desk in 2027, he’ll be moving like a pensioner

With Gutho at FB we can’t have 2 halves who offer zero threat. At least with Atkinson/LKT they can break tackles/ball play and create space for Gutho, the chuckle brothers might occasionally do something decent like Kyle’s game against the titans but on the whole they aren’t good enough to get the dragons where we want to go in future

It has to be said a very good performance from the young guys doesn’t mean they should get the keys to wollongong and play massive mins, the priority should be hoping they fit seamlessly in defence and aren’t a massive target for other teams

Development isn’t linear and I guarantee we’ll see mistakes from the young fella’s as it’s part of maturing as players

It’s always good to have juniors we’ve produced come into first grade and perform, just hits different as a fan

No changes. Flanno very rarely makes late changes unless forced due to injury. I like that. Is the game plan for the opposition going to change if Ilias replaces KF or Lawrie rather than Tonga? At least at this stage of the career for the two. What's the point of late changes?

Dean Young was a very good player but I don't think we can compare him favourably with the other 3 mentioned.

What a pair, "Puff the Magic Dragon" and his nephew. Yesterday I watched the Dragons smacking the Rorters bums in an Anzac Day clash bout 20yrs back. Gas and Coops our centre pairing, one of our best ever, under rated Justin Poore and Bull Bailey our bookends, Benny Creagh, Dean Young, with skipper and 5/8 Trent Barrett calling the shots. Nathan Brown was coach.
You guys recall the game when Brown slapped Barrett across the chops on the sideline?
