Just seen a poll of QLD fans voting Holmes and Hamiso as their favorite centres combo for QLD this year.

so based off that it got me thinking, what’s the best route for us to go if Holmes misses games for us through origin.

I’ve though since the start of the season that our centres are one of the worst positions depth wise.

interested to hear what people think we’ll do with homes out, I reckon they’ll go with Allan at left centre and Tuipolotu/Finau left wing
Nick T 😂

don’t get me started on Tamale. Already one of the best outside backs in the comp 2 months into his career. Going to be a lot of regrets over that one for the next 10 years.

Imagine him & CT as our wingers, would have the best back 5 yardage game in the comp imo. I hope we don't regret losing Sione like we did with Tamale. Anyway, we've got Lawson in reserves who looks strong in that area. Imo once he gets a shot at 1st grade, he won't lose the spot.

Just a question of why he hasn't already gotten a shot.

The more young blokes in the pack the better ......... It becomes a Wolf pack , they will go non stop ........ I'm happy with this we ain't winning anything this year or next , but can have the young guys ready for next year ....... Suli needs to do more than he does in attack , Sloan would have to be on his last chance , thought he would have been dropped after last game ....... Kyle needs to go ...... Coach I think has realised Liddle needs to be on earlier ........

Another good'n let go on Flanagans watch. Yes his defense has been suss but had improved in his last season with us. Could play centre or wing if needed, quick, big and not afraid to offload to a bloke in a better try scoring position to him. Just ask Sione Finau. Who is he playing for now?
Everyone seems to have this can't tackle thing about players that are attackers and can score tries ...... Yes maybe they are not great defenders but they are there to score tries ...... So if the players like Walsh , the Hammer are missing tackles then the defenders in the team are not doing their job ....... Sloan's problem is he is doing either , if he was scoring tries and missing some tackles not much would be said ....... Attackers you need them also ........

Agree, it would be nice to score more try's than you let in.

If he played one bad game in his first game, that would've been it for him at the Dragons. Kyle and Sloan are laughing their guts out, or they should be. Kind of. Sloan has all the talent but no guts. Kyle has loads of guts but no talent. Who needs talent if you're the coaches son at the Dragons?

How long does this have to go on for until I'm not the only one questioning whether the coach needs to be sacked? I'm not saying he should be yet but pressure should be on. His funny joke about Kyle being one of the teams best last week must have raised some eyebrows in the head office.

I would like to see Sloan change sides with Corey Allen so that he could play outside Holmes. I believe Sloan would have more traditional winger attacking opportunities than he does playing outside Suli. Also pleased to see LPT get a start off the bench in first grade. I don't normally like to see teenagers in first grade, particularly in the forwards, however I think this lad might be ready.

If the older forwards were playing much better, wouldn't need all these teenage or 20~21 year old forwards. Some of the big forwards signings have been Eisenhuth, RFM, BMM, Sele, Fifta. Can't blame Flanno for them. He can't help injuries. I thought RFM would be better as well. But what I don't like is Egan has to kick down the door and spray the room with machine-gun fire to get a chance while RFM could go from one bludger of a game to another for how long before being dropped?

Mate a bit harsh. If our so called play makers and his centre would give him more ball he'll score us plenty of points. Earlier in season he was going inside looking for the pill but not seen him do it for a couple of games. Has he been ordered to stay on his wing. Remember too he is new at this position, we can thank our coach for this. I say let him play a roaming role, be far more beneficial to our team.

Our coach appears to be forcing out another guy we all rate, Sione Finau, noting that he even has Lawson ahead of him on the reserves list. Or is this his new fangled way of coaching, give everyone a crack. I coached cricket like that in the under 12s because I was told to. The parents were happy but we lost more matches.

So, my preview of the game after analysing the strengths and weaknesses of the named line-ups. One big mismatch in our favour lies in the centres, Holmes v Capewell. Both are origin players but that's a big ask for Capewell to keep Holmes quiet. I know Capewell has played centres in the past . The trick will be to give Holmes early ball and his speed can make a difference and tired the 2nd rower.

The only way to get early ball to Holmes is if the engine room can consistently make the advantage line and we can get quick play the balls clearing the ruck. The match ups in the front row will go a long way to deciding this game. Couchman v ex Dragons Ford, Cook v Egan and Klemmer v Barnett.

Traditionally and statistically we do well against the Warriors on home soil especially at Win where from 12 games played its 10 - 2 in favour of the Dragons.

I am banking on the youthful exuberance of Stewart/ Egan and then off the bench Tonga. In fact the impact of all our 4 bench players may well to get us home in a close game against the confident and high flying Warriors.

I think we'll fire up this weekend and get the result. Looking forward to seeing LPT debut - it's our future, and here's hoping for a successful outcome. The Warriors have unearthed some really exciting talent, and you can see the hunger in these younger players.

I'm hearing that the Warriors will be making a shift in the backline come game day. They already get DWZ back on one wing, and it looks like Roger Tuivasa Sheck only needs to pass a protocol at a final run to make the team. It certainly makes their outside backs stronger although they will be underdone so something we can exploit. Interesting to see what they come up with, but I think we will see Kurt Capewell shift out of Centre and into the back row. They will likely play around with Taine Tuaupiki, Roger Tuivasa Sheck and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad covering fullback, wing and centre.

Would be better if Roger failed his test
