correct I mentioned in another post earlier this season that on avg a team playing semi finals football gives up no more than 18 points a game. The premiership winners about 12 points. We were poor again in line speed but to my old coaches eyes it would appear that we have sacrificed line speed in exchange for reducing our missed tackle count. This has improved markedly by 40% from previous seasons. Today we missed 30 but so did they.

Sloane’s second try was great.

Gutho played well minus the beard.

Kyle’s seven tackle set was very poor !

Certainly wasn't mistake free football but that 2nd half was very good.

We missed 30 but so did they. You could see they targeted young LKT he missed 5 out of 13 which isn't very good, its actually unacceptable and needs attention. And Su'a again 4 out of 31, Stewart 4 out of 37. Holmes missed 3 out of 7 again for an origin player that is unacceptable. I hope he gets picked for the Morons.

Absolutely gutted about Egan, 2 of our best and brightest getting ACL injuries is cruel (Ryan couchman included)

silver lining is that Ryan should be back early in the preseason and Dylan should be good to go around February/March

You know that is one of the dangers of blooding too many youngsters too quickly. Their bodies may not be ready for the rigours of 1sts. Just my view

Sorry mate, actually our missed tackles this season has improved by 40%. We avg much less than last season. In order its, LKT, Sua, Leilua, illias, Holmes. Anything above 2 per game in my day would have led to extra time on the tackling bags and 1 on 1.

Absolutely correct. What he has introduced is a system of wait and hit in pairs. So your line has little forward line speed but you miss very few tackles. The trick is to do both. I'm sure they are working on it.

Mate doesn't make many tackles hence no, played 9 made 23 in 9 games yes that's right 23 and misses 1.1 per game.

An ineffective tackle in my view is when a player or players fail to stop the forward motion of the ball carrier or allows him to offload the ball and creating 2nd phase play. Don't know if thats the official version nowdays
