Analysis: The Dragons had to wait two weeks into the season to play their first game, but finally put a horror off-season behind them to beat the Titans 32-18. The Dragons trailed 12-2 early in the match but starring displays form Ben Hunt, Tyrell Sloan and Jacob Liddle off the bench helped lead the side to a convincing victory in the end. However, there were still noticeable defensive issues for Anthony Griffin’s side and they will get bigger tests in the future, including the red hot Broncos at Suncorp Stadium in Round 3.

I had a Barry Crocker last week but I did pick us. I'll be at Lang Park but I'm tipping the ponies up here. But as I said elsewhere any team that believes that another team is a pushover in this comp may come crashing back to earth with a thud. I'll be keen to see the Sloan v Walsh match up. Sloan appears to have made peace with Griffin and let his footy do the talking. It would appear that in the off season Griffin was tapped on the shoulder and told to actually use his new assistant's and make peace with the anti Griffin faction for the benefit of the team and club. Time will tell if I am correct
