Since Round 15 Blake Lawrie has a pair of 200 running metres plus 108, 173, 160, 144. Fair to say 'Block' has reached another level.

He has changed his running style from the first half of the season he runs lower to the ground. Traditionally props with his stature go well . I'm happy for him albeit against the wooden spoon favourites.

  1. Cody Ramsey - 8 Looked dangerous but I couldn't help but think how Sloan would have dominated that defence.
  2. Mathew Feagai - 6 Quiet again.
  3. Moses Mbye - 1 Hamstring injury early on. There is a god.
  4. Zac Lomax - 7 Solid
  5. Tautau Moga - 6 Was on the end of a few good backline movements. Would have scored 4 or 5 if he wasn't as fast as the average prop.
  6. Talatau Amone - 8 Another good game. 2 in a row.
  7. Ben Hunt - 8 Gets a lot of criticism but played a genuine good game. Should secure him the Dally M.
  8. Blake Lawrie - 8 Getting better and better.
  9. Andrew McCullough - 1 injured early on. There is definitely a god!
  10. Jack de Belin - 7 Typical
  11. Josh McGuire - 7 Typical but he was in the middle. Hook has abandoned the idea of an edge second rower.
  12. Jaydn Su'a - 7 Typical
  13. Jack Bird - 9 By far his best game in a long time.
Interchange:
14. Aaron Woods - 5 Came on. Didn't do much except get trampled by Fifita and then went off.
15. Michael Molo - 7 haven't seen the stats but I think he went well.
16. Jayden Sullivan - 8 Not a natural hooker but still so much better than Macca.
17. Francis Molo - 7 Until he got sent off, was having a blinder. Loses 1 or 2 points for being sent off.

  • Ben Hunt - 7- usual busy effort, good leadership
  • Blake Lawrie - 8- powerhouse display again. Lose a kilo or more of gut flab Block.

Our left side defense is woeful. Too many blokes not hitting around the waist or the legs from all our defenders except JDB. Please make him our defense coach and save the club money so we can buy a prop enforcer.

Well let's not get too carried away with the performance because the opposition were very poor. But 5 forwards ran for the 100m +, Su'A 190m, Bird 150m, Lawrie 144m, F Molo 111m, Woods 107m and JDB 106m (which was o/s considering he was only on the park for 50m). Titans only 3 forwards. Completion rates good 77% but the better teams consistently get 80%+. Missed tackles awful 51 any other game we lose that game missing so many tackles, Titans 49 so shows you the poor quality. Hunt made 12 missed 6, Amone made 4 missed 5. The Titans certainly didn't run at Amone. I liked what I saw from our young rising stars Sullivan, Amone Ramsey, I dont know where you can fit into the team Sloan as a result of Ramsey going so well. I think with our injuries we may well see Sullivan start at hooker next week but I would love to see Muhleisen get a run with 2 games to go, Sloan off the bench. Tigers next week who will want to beat us to avoid the wooden spoon. A big plus for us is that Tamau is out. The big game I'm looking forward to is against the Broncos in last round.
