Sorry Chris have to chuckle over that. A gun utility where. He has no creativity so 5/8 is out, can you see him covering all the aspects of a full back, plus throwing clean dummy half ball, making dangerous darts against lazy markers. Also making between 20 tackles in 20 mins.Only origin Bird is playing is under 15s.

He's a reasonable lock, centre, can play second row if needed for half a game or so, can play 5/8 and fullback. Not saying he's good in any of those positions but not bad either except for maybe second row. But he can still play there and not the worst.

Add hooker to all of that and....... very good bench utility.

You have contradicted yourself. Why have someone playing all those positions only moderately. Other than second row, we had Mbye who was adequate in all of those spots, yet he was still sent packing.

Someone able to fill all those positions starting on the bench in case of injury or hooker for 10~20min a game.

Bird being a utility is now a moot point as we have a Nu Brown coming here to be our utility for the rest of the season. A Kiwi and Samoan international and another former Flanagan Sharks favorite.

Is Flanagan not satisfied with Liddle, reason for him wanting Brown. Have to say Liddle does run hot and cold with ball in hand, but his defense his prolific, sometimes eclipsing the tackle numbers of JDB.

Josh Schuster is very lazy and fat but has a lot of ball playing skill. If a coach could make work hard, he'd suit Hunt with his lack of ball playing skill quite well. No wonder Flanno shut it down.
