Good question. He got rid of Sullivan even when he knew there was a very good chance Amone was going to be unavailable.

In his defence, Flanno stated he only wanted Kyle to be Hunt's sidekick and stats can be misleading. He wasn't supposed to do much in attack himself but to take organising heat off Hunt. It was a good idea in theory but in practice, need more from a 5/8. Interesting he only played badly in the 2 Roosters games and 2 Canterbury games. The 2 clubs he was at before the Dragons.

Depends on what you call playing badly. Kyle doesn't make many mistakes because as the stats show, he does very little. I call doing very little, "playing badly".

In my opinion unless you have two attacking options, one, either side of the ruck that pose an actual danger to the opposition when they are in possession of the ball then you just aren't going to be in a position to be a consistently successful football team.

Or lock. I see him like the Couchmans. Able to play on an edge or in the middle but probably better in the middle. Luicano and Su'A had the edges locked down or the next 2 years. By the end of that time, Helangahu might be kicking the door in. Also don't give up on Egan. It just won't be Shereb.

We agree on most subjects but reckon we dont on Blocka. He never has a bad game, perhaps a moderate one occasionally but you can also be assured he'll give his side 100% every time he takes the field.

Perfect timing then for Latu to take the reins and become a specialist edgie. Jack will be a hard act to follow, still be good if our next lock had some of his ball skills and ability to jump into receiver. I dont see Latu having those skills.

I've been a Blocka fan for a while but I don't think he has it anymore. He always relied on guts and determination so it was predictable his form would at some stage turn very bad. He rarely even bends the line these day. No offload. A good defender when he is fast enough to get into position to make the tackle but he often isn't.

He's a very strong ball runner but might not have close to JDBs ball skills.

Yeh lack of size and ball skill will be his downfall. As I said a while back the Blocka and Jake Turbo type of prop are like the dinosaur in todays game.

Jake Turbo has good ball skills but yeah, like Blocka doesn't even bend the line these days from what I've seen of him this year.

Precisely. Cant you see him smashing into lazy outside backs and coming out the other side. I think Jake H will be a terrific middle when he fills out fully. I see he and Loko Jr as our future bookends and probably King-Togia or Corey Ackers the lock post Jack.
