Winning is nice but preparing possible future NRL players is the main thing. If 10 out of the 17 are never going to make it but playing the way they do ensures the other 7 have every chance, losing is fine. But winning is preferable.

Fair point, but the Eels are probably doing the same and they beat us at our own game. We were ahead of them on the ladder before this loss. Still I suppose losing for our crop of futures is a blessing in disguise as it hardens them mentally.

Dragons have a very young team. Buchanon is one of the first picked at only 18. Could still play Flegg next year and 2026.

He was one of the better players in the NSW Cup last week. 18 year-old gave his opposing centre a bath. So it stands to reason Flanno would drop him back to Flegg.
