Couple of player thoughts:

• Williams still looks a little lose in defence but had some rly good moments in between, got tested in the air a few times and mostly came up well.. Hammoud had some moments but also gonna take a while for him to get back up to speed I suspect.. and Hjaltason only had some brief time at hooker, didnt rly see anything of interest again after his long time out.

Shadi was very poor, looked better last week, will need a few weeks.
Some poor decisions cost us,
Just before half rime a useless cross-field kick gave Tigers field possession they score on the bell to lift them.
Second half rushed kick out on full Tigers score again next set.

Kyan long time our will definitely needs a few weeks to adjust to game plan.

Back 3 was a big issue on kick returns.
Rumble terrible needs to be cut
Pek/Wes average.
Jesse ok
They need Saifiti in there for balance.

Side note Corrimal FG beat West Devils for first time in 15 years on the back if Flegg boys.

Pek/Wes definitely need to be moved out imo also, I thought we would have done it a month or 2 ago.... I thought Borg was gonna come in, even if its as a placeholder.. missing Kirk also hurts as a wing option.. but Saifiti has great carries/energy, its just his errors.

Hammoud will get there, atleast hes a bigger body, he doesnt have to do much initially with Reed there either.. and unfortunately id say Hjaltason is a long wayoff, but I guess bench 14 isnt a bad way to be re-introduced into the game..

Speaking of Ackers, how did he go?

He's been playing for about 4 weeks now, what I have seen he has been average.

Just watched the replay, definitely does he had them for first 40 then hit the wall, lack of fitness and several leg injuries will do that.
I think with fitness he scores easy and his top speed is faster than Tigers FB

Also the rib damage wouldn't help.

I haven’t rewatched yet but having been a competitive sprinter and especially when doing repetitive training I know it can happen under fatigue. At fist watch it certainly looked like it slowed him down when it normally wouldn’t.

The big in is #4. I guess with a couple of spots in the top 30 free, this means he is one step away from first grade. God knows who the other centre will be. I wonder if Hutchinson is on line to get promoted into the missing prop spot. Ditto for the other second rower.	For the most part, for me it's a question of who are they. #17 is obviously one a lot of people have high hopes for. Borg recalled to play centre. I guess that answers my question about Hutchinson. He must be injured.

Millard is confusing me with his Flegg selections. Wasnt Pring hooked then Peckham Harris replaced him with Shadi in as pivot. Now Pring is back (injured not sacked) and Shadi back on bench. No wonder Flegg is not consistent as they have no selection cohesion. Piss off Pring Millard and then pick and bloody well stick. Read Corey Ackers on Flegg reserve bench on NC site? Have we decided to keep him, hope so as has heaps of potential. Needs to kick his injury prone tag tho.

Vili Fifita on Firsts bench and Loko now a reserve? Pleased for Vili but not big Loko demotion. Flanagan has lost the effing plot. NC dont know Ressie #7 or #10 either. A late rethink by Flanagan over his son, to recall Ilias perhaps?

I have no idea why they don't just name Ilias @7 Obviously LPT will come back to play prop. I also have no idea why Halangahu isn't in the run on team. I guess all the old timers (#13, #12, #11, #8, #16) had to fit in somewhere but I doubt they are better than the young players they have replaced. Congrats to Cody on being named captain. Is this the first time? A fitting reward for his form and all he has done to get back.	Corey Ackers is back! Good luck! There is some very serious quality in this team. Without being overly optimistic and with limited knowledge, I could see 9 of them playing NRL in the next 1 ~ 3 years. Then take into the consideration the 1 or 2 who usually surprise everyone by being a late bloomer. So now it's up to them to stop screwing around and start winning so as to make the finals.
