I am at a loss to explain the mess our club is in. We all know we need a big unit for our pack, someone that can bend the line. David Fifita sure is that and despite a reputation of being lazy on occasions, when on song he is one of the most damaging players in the game.

Craig Young and Griffin don't mess around. When they say the club needs more depth for hookers. If this turns out to be true we have:

• Muhleisen

• Hooper

Anyone who believes that Young will step in are sorely mistaken.

Sullivan is 21 now. Will be 22 when Hunt's current contract finishes so 23 at the time he can start the season as first choice halfback. Albert wants him to stay until Hunt's extension finishes. So Albert wants him to "be patient" until he 25? This might well be the most idiotic comment I've ever heard of. If I were Sullivan, I'd request a release immediately citing the head of football insulting his intelligence.

Another snippet Dragons have tabled a higher offer for Hunt to stay, Hunt will decide after the Dally M indicating to me that his manager is secretly testing the market. If Hunt stays the Dragons have approached Sullivan who is off contract at end of 23 to stay and be understudy to Hunt claiming that he would develop and benefit learning from Hunt. Sullivan is undecided, he may also join Sloan asking for a release. It also appears that the Dragons are making enquiries to take David Fifita off the Titans hands as Fifita is romantically linked to our NRLW backrower Shaylee Bent. It is also being mentioned that the Dragons are looking at a Qld Cup hooker, Haele Finou who has been in the Storms feeder club up here to further bolster our stocks in that position, if true Muhleisen may be another looking elsewhere as well. Interesting months ahead.

Fifita would be a good buy for 700~800k. So the dynamic duo of Hook and Albert will probably offer him 1.2mil.

This is why I indicated earlier that unfortunately knowing the intricacies of being a coach dealing with management, players albeit at a lower level, its so very difficult. In my view the team is divided also the club. Our once taunted young rising stars are confused because quite simply like any player they want to achieve what only 1% of all players will ever achieve playing 1sts in the NRL. Each set of circumstances are different however speaking from experience I believe that we are a club in crisis and nobody wants to take responsibility and until someone in authority does we will wallow year after year fighting for a finishing position between 9th and 16th.

Here again is this obsession with bringing Qlders to this club. Sure if the player is exceptional, elite etc.. but this kid is not even playing Firsts. Hello you drongos in FO, we have one of those of our own, Connor Muhlesien and you wont let him near Firsts till '24. Plus an exciting pair of dummy halves in Hooper and Purcell about to reach Ressies. So why the flipping heck do we need an import. My head hurts, cant take any more.

I think that's the attitude of Albert. He doesn't really care, he's only in it for a laugh. Obviously he doesn't really expect Sullivan to bide his time in the NSW Cup until he is 25. So why did he say that if not to have a laugh?

We need to live with the prospect of losing all 'three amigos' if Hunt is extended, as I see Amone joining the other two in sympathy. The three have played together since H Matts Cup and know each others play intimately. Griffin has to start to see sense and move the skipper to hooker, Sullivan half and Sloan fullback pronto to start next season.

Hook is F**KED ..... the game has passed him , we will lose the young guys Sloan then Sully , I for one will be honest if we lose , Sully because Hunt has resigned and won't share 7, 9 and help Sully then don't want Hunt ...... Decisions the club have made since 2010 have been one disaster after another .....

I guess we have not looked at both sides of this problem. That these kids need to show some maturity and honor their recent contract upgrades, not displeasure at their predicament, barely before the ink has dried. Do either Sloan or Sullivan expect their new club is going to rush them into Firsts.

It's a mystery. Is he just really dumb? Is there anyone except for Craig Young who believes the club is heading in the right direction?
