Matey let's hope they all start to change their ways , and start thinking about the Club , gee there have been a lot of bad decisions over the years , Doust now back Young , A. Gordon etc all need to stop being comfortable in their jobs and put the club first ..... Maybe it's happening slowly , but when I hear the young guys want out then there must be a problem somewhere ...... Anyway as the old saying Time Will Tell ......

I wonder what a good coach would do with Bird. There were games where he just seemed to give up. Maybe a good coach would have immediately hooked him and given him a week to think about it in reserve grade.

It looks pretty bleak but remember the team was going nowhere with Nathan Brown as coach for the longest time. How quickly did that turn around? Though blind freddy can see Griffin isn't the man to bring about such a transformation.

That comment about Sullivan being content to bide his time behind Hunt for another 3 years was bizarre. One could say it was just an off the cuff comment not thought out but it's his job to have detailed knowledge about these things.
And of course it's 3 years from the beginning of next season. So Albert thinks Sullivan should 'learn from Hunt' for another 4 years!

That sums up the club , no foresight easy way out yes let's give Hunt close to a mill and chase Fifita for a mill then forget about the rest ..... Then they can sit on their hands and be happy they did their jobs recruiting ......

The incompetence is that bad it's starting to look like criminal negligence. All we ever get is one under-performing, high-priced import after another while St George and Illawarra juniors excel elsewhere.
In fairness, there have been some but not too many juniors coming though for the last 10 years. But now that's changed. Doesn't matter. Craig Young and Griffin are still only interested in veteran journeymen and high priced imports.

Learn what actually Albert. Widdop carried Hunt for his first few years.. only the past season and a half that Benny actually looks comfortable in the role.. since he took over the captaincy in fact. Sullivan has more natural individual skills than Ben.. tho not convinced he is any better than the skipper with ball in hand, and a clever organiser is above all what we most need.

The best we sold down the gurgler.. come to mind, Lucie Leilua, Reece Robson, Reuben Garrick.. and there were more. Seems our BOD arent prepared to carry our juniors past the development stage. You watch over the next 12/18 months how many of our juniors we lose.

If that's the case, he did a very poor job of it. At one point Hunt was actually dropped, wasn't he? I'm not against Hunt. I think he's a good halfback. Played well this year. But he'll be 33 when next season starts, wants too much money and Sullivan deserves a chance.
And what is the club going to lose if Sullivan isn't the answer? How much success has the club found with Hunt over the past 5 years?
